alright, alright. fair enough. but damn it this CD is good. they're sounding a bit like Aerosmith, to me (I said a bit, don't go all nazi on me). this shows good signs for the future in my book....maybe one day we can all just forget lips of an angel.

To be fair Go Plastic is a pretty... brain-melting album by anyone's definition :p

I watched that thing in its entirety, and then it ended, and I sat back, and my reality felt very boring.....
On the complete other side of the spectrum, I'm now listening to Fionn Regan's The Underwood Typewriter. You can find an mp3 of it at http://offthebeat.net/mediamavenmusings/Old%20Music/The%20Underwood%20Typewriter.mp3
The guitar part of this song is amazing. His fingerpicking blows my mind.

I just got Warp records collection album "We Are Reasonable People". It contains the only song known to man that Squarepusher made in collaboration with Aphex Twin.

Does that have orange romeda on it? I want the CD that has orange romeda on it.
edit: yes it is.
To resume Zeor's rambling about Lordi antics, now that I've warmed up to it a bit, I think Deadache is my favorite album of theirs yet. Still seems to lack that odd, intangible underlying tie-together, but on a just song-by-song basis, it is freaking great. What I love about Lordi is how hard, oldschool and symphonic they are, and Deadache does them all in spades, particularly emphasising the symphonic part this time around, with just plain great-sounding melodies. Blah blah blah, can't help myself, it just took me all this time to really end up with an actual favorite band. :p

What's with the outfits, tho?
:p
Over-the-top cheesy campy rock 'n' roll theatrics, of course! :3
Apparently, the guys are being funded by the Finnish government to make a horror movie, which is the sort of thing Lordi went to college for.

OK Computer by Radiohead. I thought I would give it another choice as you pretty much cannot move for people praising them. But honestly, I just cannot see the fuss.
It definitely suffers by being such a highly rated album. I feel if I heard it at the time it was released I'd dig it more. Download Kid A instead, it's a much better and more interesting CD in my opinion.

Yeah, I was surprised by how much I liked it when I got it. Still not as good as their later ones of course (Which is logically a good thing), but definitely good stuff. Man, I cannot wait for them to bring out their next one.
Viva la Vida (The album) - Coldplay. I am not a huge fan of their earlier stuff, but I think their newest album is fantastic.
My tinnitus. Just got back from a gig. My band played well, was good fun. My friends band we're on fire. They play a fusion of soul and funk. Kicked ****.
Gotta make my band better somehow.

There's fake money now?
I have loads of fake money. All of my money is just paper with "I promise to pay the bearer on demand the sum of" and a number. It's like an IOU of sorts.
I might go and demand that the bank give me £5, not in IOU form. The actual £5 to which this bank note pertains.

i was impressed; the order shipped out on saturday from amazon.co.uk (as it was much cheaper to import than purchase these albums domestically, even including shipping). the pound being only about $1.40 is working out nicely in terms of importing music; i might have to do this again. now if only shipping rates from amazon.de weren't so ridiculous... *sigh*
i also recently purchased the bpa - we're gonna need a bigger boat, which is the new project of norman "fatboy slim" cook. pretty good overall

however, this time I am VERY glad i broke said norm. the CD is Dave Matthews Band's new one: Big Whiskey and the Groo Grux King. I'm quite enjoying it.
