Getting a song out of your head is easy, as soon as you think of it just force yourself to think of another song. The new one shouldn't stick and soon enough you should forget about the event all together.
I tend not to get songs stuck at all in recent years, it was mostly in younger days when I was exposed to much more catchy pop music. It's also funny that sometimes I wake up with a song playing in my head, but it will be something I havn't heard in many years that I had forgetten about.

Nothing at the mo, but earlier today I was listening to the sound of one particular trance track playing about ten times in one day, interspersed by other ones, coming from the housemate who lives directly above me. I'm not one to complain normally, and in many ways I'm even less likely to complain in this particular case because she's single (shock horror) and attractive so I'd like to stay in her good books. So instead I opted to drown it out by playing my favourite SA1 and SA2 tracks over it (I appreciate the hypocrisy - I listened to "Windy and Rippley" and "Rumbling HWY" quite a few times today myself - but at least I had the music quite low)

And now, me too.
Man alive, nobody makes real music anymore.Oh I dunno. Britpop was pretty good, even if it was just the Mods coming round for a third time. This current bunch (Kaiser Chiefs et al: Britpop II, I guess... or Mods IV...) ditto.
EDIT: Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict a... no, wait, the track's just changed.
