Also, I think that should really be spelt Naziism.
Nah, Nazism is quite fine, as the German word is Nazismus too.
The term "Nazi" itself is an abbreviation coined as a derisive term by the Socialists, which already had their own abbreviation "Sozi".

I honestly don't see how people can argue against the point I'm trying to make. The 360 and the PS3 are more powerful than the Wii, which is effectively a souped up GameCube and is only marginally more powerful than the original Xbox. it stands to reason that if Team17 are developing a new 3D Worms game that they're going to want to take advantage of that processing power to make the engine even better. The only 3D Worms game I can realistically see coming out for the Wii is a Special Edition of Worms 4: Mayhem, which i would love to see.
It's not all about graphics. Processors don't just process textures, polygons and lighting effects. People don't seem to realise that.

It's bad enough having that judge in America who thinks that American law is based on the Ten Commandments (and therefore has campaigned to stick two big stone tablets in his courtroom with them on) without twits on the Internet thinking the same for here.
Because, and I admit that my knowledge of the Ten Commandments is a bit rusty (being a humanist and all) so correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I can tell the only ones that are against the law are murder, stealing and specific instances of "bearing false witness" such as perjury and libel. Envy isn't illegal, being of a different religion isn't, working on Sunday isn't, you aren't compelled by law to honour your father and mother (I'm not saying it's not a bad thing to respect your mum and dad, but it's perfectly legal).
(That's seven. Hells what are the other three? Good job it isn't the Middle Ages)
EDIT: Wikipedia
Adultery... is that illegal as such? Grounds for divorce, yes, but...

I'm not flaming. I'm debating. The post you quoted was from a whole two days ago. It's irrevelent to the discussion that has progressed since then, namely whetehr or not existing Worms titles would port well to the WIi (which I think they would). Now you've step into the ring once more, trying to stir up an argument using a post which holds no further relevence to the discussion. That means you're flaming. I'd also say it makes you a troll.
We're trying to have a debate and you've come in here and started to insult me. Back on the 14th, I sent Starlover1 a PM:
Listen.
You and I? We're going to stop this. i started to make fun of you because you were throwing around wild conjuncture as fact and acting as if you had insider knowledge about WOW2 that you didn't have. You didn't stop, even after Team17 staff and myself corrected you. It was funny at first. Then it got irritating.
There's really no excuse for my behaviour, but at the same time I've reached a point with this forum where I seem unable to tolerate ignorance and stupidity. This once great forum is going down the toilet. Which is a shame. I used to like it here once.
I wasn't always bitter, you understand. I'm a generally happy guy. I run Dream17, I work at Disney, I write as a hobby. I've no reason to get so worked up over something as silly as an internet forum. But I am. Maybe I've become too emotionally invested in this place.
Maybe I've been a bit harsh. For that I apologise. But I need to ask one favour of you - please, please, try to think before you post. Read what other people are saying. Not just the words, but what they mean. Please.
Have a good day.
That's me, trying to smooth things over. He seemed alright until that little "debate" of ours earlier. So I have just sent him another PM:
Greetings once more, Starlover1.
Once again I find myself in the position of having to ask you politely to back off. You've now decided to personally attack me, which is fine, I can deal with that, but not if it involves derailing a discussion on the forum. If you have a problem with me, PM me. Contact the Mods. Report posts you think are inappropriate. Attacking me in threads where I'm participating in active debate? Yeah, not such a good idea.
Our little spat have been deleted by the UserMods, which is for the best. This forum has enough rampant idiocy on it without us arguing over trivial rubbish.
So, if you have a problem with me - PM me or contact the Mods. Simple as.

Seconding this, Rikachan was awesome.
Also I am serious when I say this: if yauhui polishes up his posting in the next few months/year I can honestly see him being the next OD inductee. Maybe it's just the contrast between him and all the other new members but he seems to have a decent level of intelligence and just needs to stop posting every 30 seconds and up the effort quotient of his posts.
Or maybe I'm too tired but I see a lot of potential in this guy and I used to think he was a gimmick and everything

I think it's best I just leave. I've become someone I'm not happy with here.
You should leave because if there's one thing we need around here it's fewer good posters
I think the way the Idiocy thread in OO is going is a barometer for the current state of the forums and thusly if you leave you are just continuing the collapse
I don't think Xinos' idea of creating another offsite forum is a bad idea at all but we'd probably lose a lot of people in transition and then there's the issue of who would moderate it/host it/in general be responsible for it so i can see it being a large mess that would end up with an inferior result
edit: I mean don't permenantly leave, I think a little vacation would do you good though, because you are arguing with people who can barely form a coherent sentence and taking them really seriously and I can see how you wouldn't like that about yourself and you should probably take a little break before you collapse or something
Why leave? Why not just float about and make sharp, witty and satiric comments about the forum that only 2% of the actual forum will understand? That's what I do.
Although a break is what you probably need right now. Taking the forum 'serious', just shouldn't be done. Especially with half baked teenagers, who are probably outcasts even in real life, running around trying to get the attention that they are denied in the 'real' world.
It's a sad thing if you ask me.
The idea to make a new website/forum idea doesn't sound like a bad idea, but I don't really think we would get new members, well, hardly ever. And the way it works with the interwebs, is that eventually every one of us will be consumed with a thing called 'life' and we will one by one slowly fade away until we never return. I doubt when we're all 40 years old, we'll still be here...hidden away in OD, talking about reaching the 600000th page on the 100% off topic thread.
The moral of the lesson? Enjoy what you have when you have it. Because sooner or later, it's gone for good. Gradually handed down to the next generation, to replace us, as we slowly stop showing up here. Sad thing is, nobody can actually replace a person, but just take their place in being active.
Hell, chances are that I'll be gone from the internet community as a whole for good, in a few months. Only to be replaced by another unfunny comedy relief person. Not quite like me, but does the same job, I'm sure. But thats another story.

what does this mean
what does this mean
*sigh*
I might be moving very soon. Away from the internet, while being exceptionally way to busy to do anything. Meaning, no more time to browse the forum aimlessly, nor do anything with my DA account probably.
Then the lack of "the unfunny, comic relief person", will cause someone else to take that title that I've made up for myself. Who will never really take the forum seriously at all, and mock just about anyone in a 'nice' way to lighten the mood slightly. They probably wont do stuff the way I might do it, but it still works.
That's what I really said in those last three sentences, in a bigger nut shell. :p

A good break is definitely what you need (You will never leave for good, as the old saying goes. :p)
Though you could also activate Invisibility and stay specifically in the little gated community of OD, shielded from the outside world. Just a thought.
Besides, you should be focusing on your comic, anyway. You may be on top of something very special. (And I still intend to get that script to you, but I have 2 different ideas and I don't know which one to choose. ;))

Damn, we need user stats & join dates back!
They made newbies and newly joined people have at least some respect. :/
First: For some retarded reason, the developers implemented a quit command in the start menu for the PSP version and NOT in the DS version. That means while a DS user who wants to quit has to turn of his/her DS, a PSP user can just simply press Start and Quit anytime they want. I have no idea why the hell you would put this in the PSP version only but it's not the biggest thing wrong with the online feature since people will always leave games no matter what.
GOD THE HORROR
Seriously, though. Name one time when you felt like you suddenly had to return to your DS' main menu.

Clearly QA should've proven that everyone's hands must be glued to the console so that they play it to the very end! And Sony/Nintendo, why did you add an On/Off button to your consoles to make it so easy to quit?!? This is outrageous, I demand my money back, and some extra for compensation of my e-wang not being fulfilled!"

You know, it seems a game company has two options.
1) Have people whine about the lack of internet play.
2) Have people whine about people quitting in the middle of a game.
The choice is yours!
I suggest that for the next game, Team17 should do both.

I actually do think that those portraits are kinda stupid, but I bet that there's something more to them than just showing what character you're playing as.
An avatar, maybe?oh I agree that they're a bit large for my taste as well, but on the day it's announced I'm not gunna be complaining about the minor crap when I was just handed great news like that. "CONGRATULATIONS! YOU'VE WON 1 MILLION DOLLARS!" "that's cool, but why is the corner of the check bent in like that? it looks tacky."

Yeah! I demand a new Alien Breed!
A mix between FPS and RPG, similar to games like System Shock 2, Deus Ex 1, Aliens vs. Predator and more recently Bioshock.
Plus add class-based team multiplayer similar to games like Battlefield 2 and Quake Wars.

Very much so, as DX2 sucked and SS3 and AvP3 seem to not get produced anywhere soon.
Also, adding sneaky, spy-like stealth features like in the No One Lives Forever series and Thief series would be great too.

Also, ignore that T17's previous games were targeted more at a children/teen audience.
Make it a mature (or even rated) title for adults. Those games always sell best and the kids will get their hands on them anyway.
Heck, I once even bought GTA San Andreas for a ~14 year old kid in a shop because the cashier wouldn't sell it to him.
I bought it with his money, asked him "You won't run amok, will you?" and gave him the game.
He and his friend were happy.
And Rockstar was happy for another €50.-.

This is a PM conversation between me and Plasma, regarding Forum News...
1: Have something about the 'Open Discussion Forum' thing. Something like a secret society.
Mabye such as starting with an interview with one of the user-mods, him saying "Don't be stupid, there's absolutely no such thing as an Open Discussion board on this forum!". Then having an interview with wormified George Bush (Skull and Bones reference) saying "I assure you, this fully-existant forum that I am a part of does not exist." followed by the user-mod slapping his hand against his head.
2: In reference to his 'contributions' to the 'Worms Story Z' topic, do one panel on Splinter in a straight jacket and spinning eyes, being put in a mental ward, and shouting "AND THEN EVERYONE DIED!!"
Hmmm... well, didn't Iguana get banned for mentioning that. I don't know if I'm prepared to take the risk. I'll think about it though.
Iguana got banned for multi-account trolling, he even made a thread saying he did. (Did you miss the Gardevoir incident?)
Really, if you actually thought there was an Open Discussion forum, then you are really, really gullible.
Just for the record, I did miss the whole Iguana incident. I had no idea why he was banned. I thought it was for mentioning OD.
