hmm , i made it worked , halfso !
i run the us version , it told me insert the cd in the drive (didn't run the game)
then i manually copy the euro files again , and it run, and showed me list of channels,
in one there were 9 people , i chose that , in the box on the top right, it showed me the playernames,
but the top left it was empty!
someone there in the msg box told me there are lot of games in the top-left box , but mine was empty,
what should i do ?

I am aware of what he said, but that does not mean I believe what he said. You cannot run/play WWP without the CD being in the drive, unless you are using some hacked version or daemon tools. Also, if you read what he wrote, you will notice that he no longer has the CD. He is a pirate (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-9my0tsutw&mode=related&search=).

In fairness, using a no-cd patch in and of itself is perfectly legal, and if someone uses one to save having to insert the CD or use the massive disk-space requirements of mounting an image, then that's fair enough and it would result in exactly this problem.
But we don't allow much discussion of no-cd patches here because their primary use is obviously illegal use of the software.

hey guys !! i said i've got the CD next!
why the top left box is empty?
if the game runs with NO cd in the drive then your using a hacked illegal copy... a CD is not required ONLY for online play.

Well, either way, the correct solution is to insert the CD. If you don't have a CD, then get one. Consider getting WA instead -- in many ways it's better now, especially online. For offline single player, WWP is probably still better, which is weird but there you go.

As far as I know, using a no-CD "patch" is not legal anywhere.
Such "patches" actually are just cracked exes with the copy protection removed.
If you can circumcumvent the copy protection by other means than cracking, e.g. emulation with Daemon Tools, it's fine.
At least that's the situation in Austria and Germany.

If you get a message telling you that you should consider checking your system time, read it and take appropriate actions.

Try quoting the post in full, instead of the part which serves your rather narrow-minded requirements:

Why? The rest of his post made no difference to whether a no-cd patch for a cd is illegal.
In fact, I find it awfully ironic that you didn't even quote my post in full!

I think that's plenty of this thread. I don't know which line it's going to cross first, but none of them are good...
