Hey, long-time Worms fan here, with a quick question: which of the Worms games is considered the best overall? (most weapons, multiplayer capabilites, customization, etc.) I haven't played since Worms 2 a while back and am getting back into the Worms series, and am wondering which game I should play. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me. (Btw, I posted this here in The Lounge since this doesn't really pertain to any single Worms game. :P )

I'd have to say Worms Armageddon, best Worms ever :D, with Worms Ultimate Mayhem coming in close second.
However as soon as Worms Revolution comes out this may all be changed!

Personally, I liked WWP a lot more than W:A. But I'm sort of forced to play W:A because WWP isn't supported anymore and it's community is dead. I've played W:R during it's free to play weekend and I think it's an awesome game. Worms Ultimate Mayhem is awesome too.
But World Party is the best to me, even though it's dead.

I've never played WWP, as it didn't get an N64 port (my main machine at the time), so for me, WA's the best.

WWP was great, although it's probably just my bias as its the first Worms Game I owned. Once (if) W:A gets the features from WWP ported over, I'll be a happy man. Till then I mostly play Mayhem.

third-party mods already allow that for a pretty long time. With the current I'd say they're ported to 93%.
Sometime in future it's going to be officially included

Yeah, I'm pretty lazy. Once its all wrapped up in the patch I'll get it. Plus makes online easier, since, unless I'm mistaken, everyone needs the same plugins right?

It's probably not going to be very soon.

Oh I'm quite aware of the time between the patches.
Worms Armageddon for the classic game play.
Worms Blast for the best spin-off.
In fact, Blast is the best Bust-a-Move clone that I have seen, adding enough Worms style to the game making it a very interesting game, especially in 2-player.
I would really like to see a sequel, especially one that allows network/online multiplay.

Worms Armageddon, although I'd argue Worms: The Directors Cut is basically a PC game considering more people have played it via emulation than ever played it on an actual Amiga.

Hey, also longtime Worms fan and go by the name AdrenalinDragon on online games. Without a doubt, Worms Armageddon is the best game by miles, and not because of the ninja rope. It was also the first game in the series I played back in 1999 and currently ranked in my top 20 favourite video games of all-time. The single player modes were excellent too. I really enjoyed getting all the gold medals and hitting the "Elite" rank on Deathmatch mode. However, I will say Worms Reloaded was not as bad as people made it out to be on here. Sure, the rope and the physics weren't as good, but the main game was still pretty solid for standard deathmatch games, though the missions were pretty bad in that game compared to Armageddon and Worms 3D.

Worms Armageddon.
I remember playing the demo version of this game back when I was around 8-9 years old. Needless to say, I was bad back then. I've become better at it nowadays.
Worms Forts. Obviously. GOTY, all years.

But...
The Amiga is a personal computer. Just not an IBM x86 compatible one.
Thus, Worms DC is a PC game.
A Mac is not a personal computer though. Nobody knows exactly what they are.

The Rankings of all my Worms games:
1. Worms Armageddon (It's a true classic, and may never, ever be beat.)
2. Worms Revolution (This one is definitely a revolutionary worms game!)
3. Worms Ultimate Mayhem (Basically W4M and W3D put together.)
4. Worms 3D (Campaign was really fun for this one!)
5. Worms 2 (You can do some pretty crazy stuff with this one, but still misses a lot of things WA had. Also it's low on my list because I really haven't played it that much.)
6. Worms Reloaded (It was good for a few rounds, but overall it's pretty meh.)
7. Worms (The original was a great start for the series, but others are much better.)
