Hi,

After a long break I decided to install WA again. I have the EU CD version and it installed just fine.
When I wanted to install the latest update (3.7) it said I first have to install Patch 3.0 and downloaded it for me. The patch installation aborts with an error: -113 though and I therefore can't proceed with the update.
I couldn't really find any information on this. I checked the path in the registry, but it's correct.
Any ideas how I could get this to work?

Make sure you run the beta update (And by extension, the 3.0 update) as an Administrator.

it's not a beta update

Correct, but the beta update may install it as a part of the installation process. If you run the Beta update with administrative privileges then those privileges will filter through to any processes started by the beta update, such as the v3.00 patch that the beta update launches.

So by starting the beta update with admin privileges, it should work.

What StepS meant is that 3.7.0.0 is not a beta update; the game is out of beta now.

They're called franpa alerts, some guy from another forum on which franpa posts made them. They've been around for quite a while and keep getting revived. Here's the complete set:

EDIT: And I just found the URL for all of them together (useful for reference):

No, but he does have a werid habit of posting unapplicable or just plain wrong information. The fact that it was someone on a different forum who made them shows it's not just us who thinks this ;)

I did, on the forum that they were originally used on.

it's the first non-beta release in like a decade, so forgive me for making that mistake.

I got it to work now after I completely wiped it off my hard disk and installed it once more.
I think the mistake I made the first time was that I forgot to restart the computer after installing it from the CD. The second time I remembered the good old days and everything worked. ;)

As if your PC would care about the useless restart at the end of the installation. It was probably used because the optional upgrade of DirectX, but today DirectX is already newer than the version Worms wants to install, so no restart is needed.
