As you know there are three game modes to choose from when you intend to set up a match;
Deathmatch ("Free" mode, everyone's able to customize their formations as they wish),
Forts (Like Deathmatch with forts, duh) and
Classic (Also like deathmatch, though you may only use Soldiers and there are neither physics objects nor dynamic water, albeit water weapons can still be found in crates).
My idea is simple: Add an additional mode which is exactly like Deathmatch, except only the host is able to set his formation which will apply to everyone in the lobby.
Why? Because I think it's the only way to make something like Scouts only matches online with strangers possible. My intention is not to have completely even matches, it's more to get all classes properly into play. By this time, most people will have realized the Scout class is relatively underused compared to the other classes. The most standard team I have noticed consists of two Scientists, one Heavy and one Soldier, Scout is not really considered in standard schemes - The reason, as I believe, is that the Scout's main advantage, speed, is pretty much nullified by generously high turn times and lots of movement tools to choose from. Even 30 seconds are absolutely sufficient as it's really more advantageous to go darkside and hide your Scientists away anyways.
So Scouts are not the most popular class for standard schemes, but a deathmatch with only Scouts on the map would sound fun to me. Or what about only Heavies and Scientists? Also, I'm pretty sure some people have already created schemes and maps and thought, "This would be perfect to play with this exact formation for each player, but I can't force people to set their formations as I want". In the mode I just suggested, you can! It would certainly be a welcome and useful addition to the game. Anyone with me on this idea? :)
