Victory bug?!

Didnt know it's a bug, untill played a game against my GF, anyway, whats it all about, u prolly also noticed that sometimes winner surrenders at the end of a game and u win it? Saw it numerous times in random games, but just played few with my GF and she was winning one, when all of a sudden she surrendered at the end O.o So i aksed her why, and she said that she didnt and that she won it, so its pretty confusing..?
It's the first time i could speak with someone after surrendering, so i cant be sure about the other cases, but em sure about this one.

ok, i think i even found out why this happends, tho not sure, just one of the possibilities.. Lag?
I usually have several tabs opened + few other things, so game ocasionally gets a bit slower for me, so is it possible that ending screen loads faster for the other player, so that s/he clicks "ok" before i even get ending screen, which automatically quits them from the game, but since i'm still processing, i get the message that they surrendered?
