Hey guys, the steamversion of w:a is running: 3.6.31.2b
I can run wormkit, but not rubberworm. Any ideas? :)

Rubber and ProjectX will most likely be updated to work with the steam version soon. Until then you can use the CD version for those features.
Hi there,
a way for porting RubberWorm (as well as other modules) onto steam version of W:A has already been found, but we're waiting for the upcoming beta release for both CD and Steam versions. Once it's out, it will take a few time for us to port the RubberWorm onto it. :)
There are no hopes for Project X as Entuser (the Project X creator) doesn't seem to be active these days

Update: Steam users will not see Project X for their platform (from Entuser's words). This is a huge project which is already difficult to be ported to at least one of versions (takes a lot of months usually, and consider the developer being busy for other things), not to mention the limited time of the purchase offer, and also how the Steam framework is closed for such things, nor are the Steam users currently interested in having 3-rd party W:A mods in Steam.
RubberWorm will be made available for both CD and Steam versions. :)

that's only about Project X. Everything else, of course, has good chances of being ported onto Steam as well :P
Would the Steam version have different pointers? Considering the binaries are going to be almost the same (but with a few changed strings for accessing from the HDD instead of the disc), would it be too different to work?

Yes, I've specifically asked Deadcode about this. And there's no ways to prevent that either - Steam binaries are compiled by Team17.
But we will see, who knows!
