View Full Version : Worms Revolutions platforms
Obviously WRev will be released on Windows - what other platforms will it be released on? I think I've heard about PS3 and XBox360 launches.
And more importantly, are there plans to release it on Mac OSX in the future?

Worms Revolution will be available on Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation 3 via the PlayStationŽNetwork and PC Steam.
We currently have no Mac plans.
:( That's a shame. Seems I won't be playing Revolution then. Did Reloaded and SE not sell particularly well on Mac?
I think Beth has answered this as soon as WRev was announced.
I think Beth has answered this question above, in post #2. Plans can change through development with regards to unreleased platforms.
yep, also I hope a PS Vita version comes out later :p with the PS3 cross-play feature maybe
PS Vita version with cross-play to PS3, that would be soo great!
What are the costs for that, TEAM17?
Should we start a kickstarter project to get the ammount?
Will it be release on Ipod Touch?
Would be GOOD!
Was that sarcastic
Has the release date been published yet?
It's scheduled for October.. and we're nearly there
Time to call a day? an hour? :o

Looks like I might have to dig out a Win7 disc and blow the dust off my Bootcamp partition!

Still no comfirm release or not for maybe Ipod Touch?
As mentioned already, we've currently no plans to release Worms Revolution on any other platforms (Vita, Mac, 3DS, iOS etc.)
Worms Revolution will be released on October 10th for Xbox 360 via the Xbox LIVE Arcade Marketplace, PlayStation 3 via the PlayStationŽNetwork Store and PC via Steam.

Please release Revolution for Mac, I really want to play it, and I made this account just to inform you that many Mac users aren't satisfied with just Reloaded/Special Edition.

So did I. Please make an OSX version of Worms Revolution. Lots of my friends who use OSX are eagerly waiting to get their hands on this game, and I'm sure we're not alone in this.
Revolution seems to be soooo much better than Reloaded!

Revolution and Ultimate Mayhem need to be available for Mac because I will NEVER buy a PC.
Any chance of a gog.com release?
I don't support Steams discusting DRM model.

What exactly about Steam's DRM model do you find "discusting"? It's probably the most relaxed DRM you're likely to find short of not actually having any. Most Steam games will still run even if you don't have a currently active internet connection.

1. You have to have an internetconnection to install a game.
2. If your account by any mean is banned/deleted, you have lost all of your games, even if they are backed up.

Well, yeah. This is because youre downloading the game from the internet. You can't download games from GOG.com without an internet connection either. The only difference is that Steam handles the install for you.
2. If your account by any mean is banned/deleted, you have lost all of your games, even if they are backed up.
If you get banned or deleted it's usually because you are either actively trying to defraud the system or you're cheating in-game. Steam have, to the best of my knowledge, never just shut down an account because they felt like it. That's really more of an EA/Origin thing.
