View Full Version : Resolution
Screen resolution on my laptop is 1366x768.
In the start screen and the lobby on wormnet resolution isn't fullscreen.
In the whole rest game it is though as normal.
It's not that important problem, but maybe anyone knows.
Maybe a "Keep aspect ratio" option should help, or an ".ini" file to change it somehow.
Do you see black rectangles on the left and right sides of your screen in frontend? That's known - it's done to keep the aspect ratio. You can turn that off in the options of your graphic card (or by updating drivers, etc.).
I just have a 2 black lines on right and left.
Also my drivers are updated and i have no problem in other games.
Isn't there any ".ini" file to make it easier? :D
That is default behaviour for laptops, generally. You simply need to play around with your display driver settings; look for the aspect ratio/scaling options.

I think this is the best way to display the frontend. But if you prefer it to be stretched, you should select the "Full Screen (No Border)" option.
She should play around with the aspect ratio settings in the utility that comes with the graphics drivers. This is what it looks like with an integrated Intel GMA chip and you get to it by right clicking the desktop:

Somehow my graphic card's software doesn't have any "keep aspect ratio" option, as i have already ckecked it.
I wonder why there is no ".ini" file, as there is normally in almost all of the games i have seen.
It is not something that the game controls; it is how your laptop chooses to display an 800x600 resolution.
What graphics card/onboard graphics is your laptop using?
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500/5100
an 800x600 resolution.
the 640x480
Are you using the AMD Catalyst software? It may not be applicable for laptops, but you should find scaling options there. (see the second pic here: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/UnableToSetGPUScaling.aspx)
I don't have this option.
Also i have updated my drivers.

Ah yes Catalyst Control Center, greys out "Scaling options" because it doesn't apply when native resolution is selected, but it doesn't consider the eventuality of opening a program which runs in a lower resolution (W:A frontend).
So here's what you do.
Under Desktop Management/Desktop Properties, select a lower resolution and apply (just temporarily).
then under My Built-in Displays/Properties, select your preferred scaling option.
Now, you can switch back the resolution, and the scaling options will be applied when you open W:A.
Hope this helps.
zookman's solution finally works.
Thank you all for help.

That's indeed a dumb bug in older / legacy drivers.
They fixed this in the newest drivers / the ones for Windows 8.
