Game settings/style for asynchronous play (iOS)

Is it possible to change the settings/style of game for asynchronous (turn-based) play on the iOS version of Worms 2: Armageddon?

I changed my game style to EASY to extend the turn timer while a friend and I come to grips with the iPhone controls, but when I started a new game, the old timer was still there.
