View Full Version : ZTV - Zeor TV
ZTV! (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72)
It's a place where I can stream games live from my computer using Internet magic provided by a mighty wizard who accepts payment in a small daily ration of my life force. There is even an on-page chat window just for my very own little stream, which I might even pay attention to if you ask nicely!
Everybody today is so dang busy having lives or whatever that I understand if I can't always round up a bunch of guys to watch my live streams, so it's a good thing the site automatically saves them as replayable videos afterwards! I'm pretty sure they're automatically deleted after four days unless I specifically flag them to be kept. You can find them under the Videos tab which is next to the Info one which contains dumb words that I made.
Planned streams for the future:
Demon's Crest
Mega Man Zero series - Yeah, the whole thing. I wonder if I"m still any good at these. We'll find out!
Mega Man X(1) - I guess most of you already know about the real Zero by now, but have you actually seen why he's awesome? I may have to show you.
(tentative) Mega Man X4 - For continued study of Zero being awesome. Sort of. Like he does a bunch of awesome sabery gameplay things, but then he talks, and then it's like tthhbbbppprrrtt.
Possibilities:
Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts - I got through the Normal playthrough. Will Hard be possible? No, but there's a chance I'll try it anyway.
I'll probably post here whenever I start streaming so's you guys can see if I'm live. Whee!
Wheee!
Preparing to stream Mega Man 2 just for the sheer hell of it.
Stream over! Waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy longer than it should have been.
Edit: Looks a lot like I might stream UN Squadron some time Wednesday.

You really should set up a ZeorTV Twitter account or something. Makes it much easier to monitor whether you're streaming or not.

I can vouch for Zeor, I watched him play through Megaman 2 sans save states in one night, and I've never been the same man since.
Hell, that was with savestates after a certain point. :p
This is what I get for playing on wimp mode so much. I'm pretty sure Wily was weak against the metal blade to some measure then. Doesn't make me any less of a colossal idiot for not trying the crash bomb sooner, though.
You really should set up a ZeorTV Twitter account or something. Makes it much easier to monitor whether you're streaming or not. I will definitely consider it.
I am currently preparing to attempt to stream Spelunky.
Stream over! (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/315337288) I also ended up finishing Power Rangers and playing Demon's Crest. Demon's Crest is pretty interesting because I don't remember how I got it and had totally forgotten all about it and have never played it before! It seems pretty alright.
Now preparing to stream UN Squadron.
This runthrough sadly ended in crushing defeat - but only after an absolutely amazing playthrough of everything up until the last level! I'd really recommend watching (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/315430628) most of it, but wouldn't at all blame you if you'd rather not watch me run the final level 15 times, even though I got really disgustingly close once or twice. Pah!
Preparing to stream Bionic Commando.
All done! (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/315641869) Went pretty well this time.
Didn't announce it beforehand this time, but I just streamed some Mortal Kombat (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/316516397) which is mostly me getting my ass kicked and not even being finished off, so I dunno if that's worth watching really, but then I also did the first level of Noitu Love 2 which is currently on sale in Steam so you might consider checkin' that out 'cause it rules.
Edit: That starts at about 1:00:07 iirc.
I'm about to try streaming Mari0. We'll see how well it works.
That's enough of that, I guess. No viewers. But it worked. (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/316629133)

Worth noting: If you think that video saved, it didn't. At least, I can't see it on your video list.
Oops. I must have forgotten to mark it saved. Maybe because the first 7 minutes were empty anyway. Ah well.
I haven't streamed anything in a while, but I might soon! Maybe I'll see if I can stream Mega Man X4 decently.
e: Actually maybe I should stream X1 before that. Basically I just think it would be cool to stream that so users from this here forum can learn about who my namesake actually is.
Oh, as long as this has gone public, I guess I should drop a little disclaimer. Most of you know me well enough by now to know that I usually keep things pretty PG-13, but my stream may occasionally feature violent content (like Mortal Kombat, or the ending of Bionic Commando) and I might drop some big boy language on occasion. I kind of decided that these things aren't frequent enough to bother marking my channel as adult content, though, and even if it were, I don't think enough people really care.
Anyway, it's definitely been too long since my last broadcast, but I'm mostly waiting for a friend of mine to get back to somewhere with stable Internet access. I certainly wouldn't want him to miss a stream of a Mega Man game.
e: Updated the "stuff to stream" list slightly.
Getting ready to blind stream something now. It's a surprise though!
e: Done with that; Actraiser forthcoming.
e: done (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/321366396) and done (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/321372085)!
e: I guess I should mention here that the first stream was a hilarious hack called Sonic XL that you should definitely check out 'cause it was pretty darn funny. Also, Actraiser will be a multi-parter.
Will stream more Actraiser momentarily.
e: Done (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/321486870). Maybe Actraiser isn't actually an amazingly exciting stream, but I like it. Dammit. And this installment introduces that amazingly calming music I keep talking about.
Gonna stream some Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts just for something to do, without mic audio and possibly with slightly limited bandwidth.
e: did that, more Actraiser forthcoming.
e: SGnG went relatively well (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/321589521). Not exactly flawlessly but I did get to the false ending, so that constitutes a success in my book. Also, all done with Actraiser. (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/321596913)

Hey, Zeor! What application are you using to make streamings happen?
XSplit! (http://www.xsplit.com/)
It made the process amazingly painless for me. It's pretty much the broadcaster I always wanted. I guess it has some limitations unless you pay for a subscription, but the free version meets my (modest) needs just fine.

Awesome. I'll be livestreaming my attempt to play Amnesia: The Dark Descent in about half an hour.
Durf, sorry I missed that. What was the URL of your stream again?
... I just got a huge deja vu

My streams mostly happen at ustream.tv/channel/portscenter
Feel free to pester me if you're scrounging for viewers like I've been known to sometimes do.
Edit: On-topic, I feel my next stream will probably be Mega Man X. I kind of hope to have some viewers from here, because I've been around for something like 10 stinkin' years and some of you still aren't properly educated on my namesake and why he is the best! I plan on solving this with X1, X4 (maybe the ones in between I guess), and the Zero series.
May do this tomorrow.
Edit: Actually, might not be this week.
I dunno when I'll ever get around to that MMX stream I kept talking about, but I'll be resuming (restarting, actually) Demon's Crest shortly.
e: never mind
Just ran a test (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/352874950) on my new rig here with Super Street Fighter IV. Didn't really go so well in that the game's a little too system heavy and that the picture kept flicking on and off madly, but the bandwidth and everything seems fine. Still haven't gotten a mic connected to this computer yet, sadly, but a step has been taken towards getting this business goin' back on.
Streamed a bit of the ridiculously hilarious Oregon Trail-inspired Super Amazing Wagon Adventure (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/355101323). Wasted a couple of minutes waiting for viewers, so skip ahead a bit, unless you really like the title music. Still no mic, sorry!
e: You can vote for this on Steam's Greenlight thing, I think!
Did some more of that (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/356893833). Without a big fat delay this time. Wait, why didn't I post about this beforehand? I'm stoopit.
e: Aw, I forgot to save this one. Tits!

I think I just fell in love with that game. If I can get a couple of friends over this surely promises to have us go into serious spasms of laughter that we'll never recover from.
I guess I'm suddenly about to start blind-streaming Metroid Fusion. Still no mic. I know, I really want to get that straightened out.
e: Seems like good stuff. (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/360088169)
TOOOORIBASHu11!11 (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/360740527)
PS: Mic problem should be corrected soon.
More Metroid Fusion comin' up.
e: burp (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/360766911)
I've been pretty tired during these sessions.
More Metroid! More Metroid!
e: Emulator is failing even harder than the game design. Probably abandoning this.
e again: Seem to have fixed the emulator problem, so, will proceed.
Anyway, this past installment contained a bunch of stupid crap and I wouldn't bother watching it, not that anybody would anyway, but next time I'm gonna fight Nightmare (at proper speed) and this fight is the better part of why the dudes wanted me to play this, so, that's interesting. Pretty freaky awesome design even if his battle tactics are stupid.
e: And also you should be hearing my voice again! Hooray!
Okay! Back to it! With mic! Might get to finish it off.
e: Didn't finish it, but woo. (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/362421403) Apparently my voice is coming through in abominable quality now, which I'm pretty sure is because it's being throttled by the broadcaster. But it's better than nothing.
I welcome any educated guesses as to why my mic audio is so bassless and washed-out. I haven't really heard it for myself yet but I've been told my mic sounded fine in Steam chat, and I know it sounded great on my laptop. I'm wondering if my sound card driver or something is to blame, or if the broadcaster just chokes the audio back that much worse since the last time I used it.
Oooorrr well yeah I guess it definitely doesn't sound as good as it did on the laptop. Ugh I hate this crap.
Gettin' ready to finish up Fusion!
e: Done! (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/368260419) Got pretty aggravated for a bit there. Done now!
e: and now I'm gonna stream some Shinobi 3 while I'm at it 'cause why not. It's late and I'm tired and there's a technical problem is why not.
Shinobi 3 comin' up.
e: Doink! (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/368957541)
Shame about my crummy mic situation, but this time there's good news. Thanks to the miracle of Open Broadcaster Software (http://obsproject.com), I'm now able to broadcast in considerably higher resolution and overall quality (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/399850330).
There may or may not be a Metal Slug 3 stream forthcoming just as an impulse thing to do. I can do anything now that my final project is done. Even fly! Well no not that.
e: Yeah, I'll definitely stream some Slug, 'cause why not.
e: Done! (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/399867363) Probably should have dislcaimed this sooner but Metal Slug does contain some pretty graphically violent art, but if you're as okay with that as I am, the biggest draw is its incredible graphics.
Kind of a shame I'm about to lose my only publicity outlet, but I'll be streaming Demon's Crest pretty shortly.
e: dun (http://www.twitch.tv/zeor72/b/413627570)
