WA and WA New Edition network?

I may be a stupid question, but..

I have a the old Worms Armageddon, and my friend have Worms Armageddon New Edition. Can we play through network? Is it compatible?

Your friend has a pirated version of Worms Armageddon. As a result, we provide no support whatsoever for New Edition.

If you both want to play online your friend will have to buy a legitimate copy.

My WA frontend runs ok but when i start a match it say wa has orcurred an error detailed info in error log text and i don´t know what i will do. My WA 3.5version only runs one time when i reset my computer the game runs correctly
but only one time.
