Well, as I am someone who has fond memories of Worms 3D and Worms 4 on PS2 and Xbox i was really happy to see that there were going to be updated re-releases of both of these games and in one package.
After downloading I have to say, in opposition to most peoples views on the game, I am well pleased with it but I also have some complaints as well.
Pros.
-Two Campaigns (Worms 4 campaign and Worms 3D campaign as seperate) making one long game with good replay value.
-Worms 4 challenges
-Online support for multiplayer as well as classic offline multiplayer as well
-High Def update graphics for charicter models and landscapes making the game look a lot more polished.
-More items added to the shop, including 'Team 17 Loyalty' items. Making a big insentive to replay the game.
-Narrarator for the Worms 4 campaign and voice actor(s) for the cutscene prior to the mission start.
Cons.
-Missing the Worms 3D challenges
-No new missions for single player (as yet?)
-Sometimes the AI seems to have been dumbed down and made a few mistakes in single player missions
-Some glitches (only noticed two as yet myself)
-No insentive to buy the game if you own the originals and have a PS3 that can play PS2 games OR still own a PS2
Who else agrees with this?
Anyway, I mentioned that there were two glitches. Well, I am not sure if they are on purpose or accidental but I shall explain:
Glitch 1 ('Ice, Ice, Baby'):
Here I played the mission normally and the level plays out as usual. However, the last time i played this level, when it was the computers turn he made a mistake and fell into the water. I then finished the mission. However, expecting to have to complete the next mission to progress as normal, I found that I could select any level afterwards that I wanted, as though it was an unlock cheat to open all levels. So now I can play all the levels I like first before doing the ones I don't like.
Glitch 2 (The One near the lighthouse - I can't remember what it's called)
This glitch is only small and it doesn't affect gameplay. When you pick up the crate which has the bazooka inside move around to the otherside of the lighthouse where you pick up the jet-pack crate after shooting the tour guide. Stay in position where the crate would land and shoot down the tour guide from that position. When he dies, you will automatically pick up the crate and skip the lighthouse cam showing the jetpack crate cutscene. Instead, you get the proceeding cutscene showing the next crate inside the dead shark. The glitch here is that the dialogue under the cutscene is scrambled and you get 'CSR' under any other dialogue in this level.
Anyone else get these?
