Hi there I have been trying to connect to a friend to play worms world party forn nearly a month, we both can get online no problem and see each other in the lobby but when ever either of us hosts the game it always fails to connect. I thought it was originally because I had the original version and my friend has the sold out version, but I went and bought the the sold out version so we both have same copies but still it wont let us connect. I am running windows 7 and needed to add the colour fix from forums and sp1 from official website to b able to play and my friend is usin windows xp pro does anyone have any ideas on how we can resolve this issue as we have been dyin to play.
Thx DavichGee
WWP requires the game to be hosted on the players' PCs, that is, the IP must be public and the port 17011 correctly forwarded. Are you using a router? Follow this (http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Worms_Armageddon/Worms_Armageddonindex.htm) (it applies to WWP and WA as well).
You may also need to type your external IP into the settings menu, and change the IP override state.

okay thx al give it a bash, surely there must be an easier way tho i bet if team 17 released a newer version of the exact same content of this gamewith better and easier connectivity the servers would b bursting for sure i hear of so many people that would love to play but i guess with it being so complex noone has any chances

No, wwp is no longer supported by Team17.
If you need an easier set up or if you think your ISP uses NAT protection, then you should get Worms Armageddon - it's getting updates, there are many players, and using a public WormNAT2 (http://worms2d.info/WormNAT2) service (not to be confused with WormNET2), everyone there is able to host games freely (not to mention also the automated hosting bot and other users who can host properly).
