Hello guys, I'm new here and registered because I bought this game on xbla. I'm having quite some fun with it but I noticed a fair amount of glitches that are unnessarily ruining the game experience, so I decided to make a list of problems I've run into.

Glitches
Shotgun incontrolable
This happened to me a lot on the 3d shotgun challenges, as well as during the story mission 'Tin Can Wally' and during versus. After choosing the shotgun and zoom in the aim starts to do one of two things, it starts to spin your crosshair around in circles so you worm starts to spin 360's, or the cross gets a enormous sway. In both cases the control stick doesn't react anymore rendering the shotgun unusable. The only way to regain control back over the first person view is by wasting the two shots. The glitch mostly seems to happen if you try to move the worm or camera while selecting the shotgun, if you don't move the stick while choosing or getting a new shotgun it doesn't seem to happen. Seems likely to happen to the sniper too, but I haven't tested that yet.

Mission 33 in 3d campaign unplayable
A glitch sometimes happens when taking fall damage, it causes the worm to become invincible (game doesn't even end if you jump in the water) and the mines not being counted anymore, effectively causing the mission never to end whatever you do. Also the worm gets stuck in some sort of animation, most occurring one is that every time you jump the worm get stuck in the ground with it's head, but you can still move him around while his head is stuck. It most likely happens when a mine explosion causes you to fall and take fall damage, but it also happened to me after a normal fall. Pretty obvious glitch, I doubt anyone would get past that level without the glitch happening, almost makes the mission unbeatable.

Mission 20 in 3d campaign invincible worm
The enemy worm that spawns closest to the start of the level (called braindead bruce, spawns when you pick up the utility crate) sometimes gets invincible if he respawns after killing him. I'm not too sure what causes but it usually happens when he gets to stand on the gravestone right next to him. He becomes invincible to damage and he actually gets stuck on the gravestone so he won't fly away from any explosion or weapon, that way breaking the level since there is no possible way to kill him anymore. You know the glitch happened if it's his turn and all he does is take a clusternade in his hand and then does nothing until his turn ends. The glitch is avoidable if you take out Dracuworm before taking out any other worm.

Voices of worms disappear
A very random glitch that causes the worms to go mute, you can still see them talking but no sound is coming out. Moving the camera around (up and down) sometimes causes you to hear the worm again, but if you move the a bit down/up again the voice is gone again. It's as if the worm that's talking is too far away from camera to hear, which is obviously not the case while the camera is fixed on a worm. This glitch seems to occur randomly on any gamemode and seems to stick with you in any game you play after that until you reset the game. It happens every so often so I'm sure that other xbla gamer will notice it as well. Sometimes it affects the sound effects too, might have something to do with the action cam


Missing content
Worms 3d multiplayer maps?
I'm pretty sure the maps from the 3d campaign and challenges are supposed to be in the item store too, it's actually one of the main reasons I wanted this after having Worms 4, so please patch that.

No random landscapes online?
I pretty sure this should be available for custom matches. I know they shouldn't appear in ranked but why not in custom? Kinda wasting a nice feature right there.

No 2 player ranked match?
This is something very vital. Ranked matches are supposed to represent skill, but during 4p multiplayer that's a very limited thing, that's because the outcome of a 4p match is mostly decided on the decision others made. Only in a 2p match you can truly decide who's better because it's pretty much decided how well you did against someone who is only focused on you. Splitting ranked up in 2p and (any)p games is a must!


Flaws/other
Team weapon in ranked
The team weapon is a very powerful weapon, therefor I feel like the team weapon should at least have a delay of four turns so someone can't get a very easy multikill because someone had unfortunate worm spawns, everyone should have a chance to move his worms around first. Same reason why airstrikes aren't available from the get-go.

Worm spawns on random maps
I noticed that worms primaraly spawn on the ground on some random maps, which seems very odd, especially on construction maps where you would expect fights on multiple levels. Hopefully this can be changed in the future.


It's a nice game, but I think it's pretty essential that these things get patched if this game wants a nice future. For now, these things should be patched ASAP:

- Shotgun glitch
- Mission 33
- W3D Multiplayer maps
- 1v1 Ranked Match

I really think that these 4 things should be on top of your fixlist team17, fix it and bring out a title update on xbla as soon as possible cause these things really shouldn't be broken at release. Keep up the good work, I'm sure you wont leave us xbla players hanging.:)

I have some more things to add:

- reduce loading times (20-30 seconds is way too long)
- improve shadows

Thanks for taking the time to compile this list. The team are looking at critical fixes first and then will be looking over the other issues. All these things mentioned above have been added to the list to discuss and then we will have some idea as to what is going to happen. Sorry if thats a bit vague.

Is it just me or (in PC Version) are we no longer able to rotate the Girder vertical, and change its size.

Adding stuff too, this time for PC (and probably for XBLA too):

Missing content

- No wormpot in the unranked multiplayer matches
- No possibility of choosing your own team colour, the handicap and the number of worms during an unranked multiplayer match.

Community Requests

- Possibility of modifying the TGA files relative to Hud (game interface in every particular), frontend, sea effect, weapons, utilities and hats colours, barrels, ninja rope, theme textures, sky colour and sunlight colour.
- Possibility of modifying the colour of the sea.

This opportunity can be made for free or, if want to reach an agreement, via an external game editor chargable for a reasonable price, at the condition everyone can use the creations made by this "tool". Of course, those last two requests aren't really urgent, but giving something time by time is really appreciated.

To the people who don't know what I'm talking about: here below I put a link to a video I made long ago in Worms 4 Mayhem. Don't look at the tricks with the ninja rope, just look at the environment, the hud, the sea...in few words, everything: do you understand now? Well, consider this can't be made in Worms Ultimate Mayhem.

I think it is one of the really nice tactical weapons in 3d worms. i love sentries and bubbles.

how about not letting people team up with their friends in a ranked match? half of the top 10 on XBLA leaderboards do this.... Gee I wonder how they got there...

You're mistaking tactical with boring. Who ever gets to go first, gets to use a bubble and a sentry first and sit there doing f*** all for the rest of the game.

Sentries add a real strategical twist to the gameplay, if it weren't for them it was mostly whoever goes first wins.

Unfortunately it's like you said, whoever gets the first turn also gets sentries first turning some matches real unfair. There isn't quite a way to fix this... in a two players match, you could make player two have access to delayed weapons earlier, but this wouldn't work quite as easily in a four players match.

In 2d worms the sentry was tactical, but it wasn't as overpowered as it is in this game. In this game it can actually destroy terrain and lock on to worms behind a wall, turning a tactical weapon that can also be avoided when being tactical yourself into something totally overpowered and utterly boring.

A nerf would do it justice, either by making it not able to shoot through walls or by making the smoking sentry (a sentry that has been hit once) lock on to the one who placed it too, bringing more risk to a player that did a poor placement of the sentry. I think one of these changes should make the sentry a more fun and tactical weapon.

I agree. I like the sentry in 2D games. Hate it in this game.

Maybe you didn't notice Bubble Trouble and Sentry belong together. When you place a Sentry you must be aware your enemy could always use the Bubble to protect him from your Sentry and kill you afterwards, or directly shoot the Sentry. With that thing the Sentry isn't overpowered at all and it's fairly risky placing it instead of shooting the enemy. So, as long as your opponent hasn't used his Sentry, don't ever use your Bubble or you're gonna be in Trouble :p

The only thing I find unfair about it is that the player who got the first turn also gets access to the Sentry first.

Except you can't use the bubble all the time, even on straight ground it sometimes refuses to put it down for no good reason.

And even if it did, it's still ridiculous that it shoots through walls, how can the placement of a sentry be tactical if it doesn't take cover into account. It can't, it just slows the game down.

Ok this is getting completely ridiculous Team 17! How long has this game been out now and STILL NO UPDATE. I'm a huge Worms fan and i love your games but seriously wth!?!?! Come on how long does it take to put a delay on a team weapon in ranked matches? What is it like one line of code you lazy company would have to do? I've stood by for too long without saying anything and I cant do it anymore. WHY WHY'S WHY WHY WHY DOES IT TAKE U SO LONG TO FIX SUCH A SIMPLE PROBLEM?????
