Hey people,

I noticed that my wa.exe isn't compatible with iTunes. When I have iTunes opened, I can't enter W:A. Just after starting wa.exe, the Worms window get minimized to the task bar. When I click the WA symbol in the task bar, the problem repeats, it immediately minimizes and I get back to my desctop. By the way I've Windows7.

It's not an urgent problem and I don't need quick help, but I thought it could be an interesting detail. Maybe I am not alone with this problem.

Firstly, are you running 3.6.31.0 (latest WA update)?
Also, what version of itunes are you running?

I tried this with my iTunes and 3.6.31.0 and it works fine. Although, my iTunes is an old version and I'm running XP.

Is it possible you have something else running other that iTunes that is causing the problem? It sounds like something is stealing the focus from wa.exe.

I'm running XP

I bet that this problem concerns only Windows 7 (Aero). This is a very rare but a very irritating thing - being minimized instantly without a reason.
Myself I had this problem on my old Windows 7 - and the theft was explorer.exe (weird) - after killing it everything was fine. Choosing to disable Aero effects during the game helped partially only - for a first time you would still be minimized, and then it will be ok (bad for snoopers, for example).
No one helped me to solve this problem, but reinstalling my Windows 7 did it.
Would be nice if WA had a protection from being minimized outside.

There is nothing that can be done about such problems from W:A's side (without using hacks that risk making the situation much worse).

If W:A minimized, it means that another application has received focus. Look for the problem elsewhere.

The Windows version of iTunes is quite infamous (http://www.google.com/search?q=itunes+for+windows+sucks) for the software's quality.

Ah I see. I have the newest updates of Windows7, iTunes and of course W:A. I am 100% sure it's itunes.exe being the "theft"

As I saied, I can live with this problem. I just wanted to threw it in the forum and share my experiences I made (furthermore I was interested in your opinion, ofc). Honestly I am too lazy to re-install Windows, just to fix that. So I switch to winamp to listen music while playing. No problem.
