I really need help with this. I am running windows 7, and I can't run worms wrld party. The screen just flashes for a few seconds, then gets a Stopped working error. I have tried every fix that I have found, and none worked. WTF???
Play WA. It's the same game but better because it has recent updates which fix compatibility issues and add many awesome features. It also has a much more active online community.
Okay, let's assume you are currently not interested in buying a new game, namely Worms Armageddon, or just want to play World Party because of the few features it offers that W:A doesn't have.
I can't undertake it works for you as I've got Windows XP, but this is what I'd do first. For a start, you should install the Windows 7 Service Pack (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/learn-how-to-install-windows-7-service-pack-1-sp1) if you didn't already did so.
After that, open the explorer and search for "wwp.exe" (for instance, on my PC, you can find it in C:Games/Team17/Worms World Party). Right mouse click on it, and open "Properties". You'll then see the small box saying "Compatibility mode". Click it, change it to be executed with Windows 95/ME compatibility mode and apply the changes.
As I said, I'm not sure if it works like this on Windows 7, or if it works at all. Nevertheless, give it a go and tell me if it worked :)
*EDIT* If it didn't work, you can also check this thread (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=38883).

I already tried that... it didn't work. But no need really, I got Worms Armageddon coming in the mail. (Bought it off of eBay) And I can run WWP on my sister's computer. (It got XP)
