Is it just me, or has anyone else experienced this:
I set up a private match, with a custom scheme. I invite 1 or 2 friends. After sending the invite, I get to the game lobby and I have NO buttons to invite anyone else, nor do I have a button to start the game. The only thing I can do is exit out.
Don't they require either 2 or 4 persons? I can imagine the game not working when you invite 2 people. If else, i would not know.
You can invite by using Steam: Open friend list, right mouse click on whoever you want to invite and click "Send invitation".

Yes I get this about 50% of the time and when I do the only thing I can do is exit and try again hoping it works.

I've been playing a lot of 3-player, and some 2-player private matches, but I've never got this problem.

This needs to be addressed. It makes playing any invite-based matches a real tedious task. Because as I realize that I don't have any buttons anymore, I exit, and of course the player I invited tries to join an non-existent game and gets "stuck" at the multiplayer menu - can't back out.

Well besides that "host a private game", how to host a regular game where people can join through the server list?
The only way I found out is to select "search for players" and then select a less used scheme for example warfare. Then it searches for a game and after 2-3 seconds it says, do you want to host your own lobby? And only then it works :D This is so bull****, no other way?
Even though it's not the worst problem!
This is another problem. Quite a lot of people use this "work-around" to host own matches, so I once searched for "race", only to realize the host set up a fort match when the game started. Since I didn't have enough time for a fort match I quit immediately, which was probably annoying for the other players as well.

Yup, the most annoying thing is joining a game that you expect to be Forts, Intermediate or Pro, only for the host to change the scheme to his own version of any of this three, which ends up being a broken scheme, or his own custom scheme that ends up being a boring Full Wormage scheme.

Hi.
I had the same issues as the topic starter.
In the end I had to host a "public" game and quickly get ppl in before random people joined . Or Exit the game and re start the game when randoms joined .
Sometimes people cant even see my game in the lobby .
Personaly the game would benefit of having a password protect system
instead of "Private Match" then you can just allow people to join the game that may not be on your steam list (eg at a lan party) but you inform them off the password.
A Seperate SADS (Stand Alone Dedicated Server) would be really nice for this game
that could be a seperate download on steam or didnt need steam on Linux and Windows.
Ive found hosting it can really lag , which is odd because Company Of Heroes , Flatout 2 , Joint Operations , Space Seige , UT99 , Booster Trooper , Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 , Wolf 2009 , LA Street Racer , all run fine on my connection which is a 1500/256 ADSL1
Also Worms Reloaded is missing the LAN MENU and speaking of the menu IT SUCKS.
