Patches not installing on Windows 7 x64

I've just installed W:A and whilst that installed successfully, the patch to 3.00 will not install thus I can't install the update either.

I've tried using the Windows 7 compatability modes to play the game, but no success.

Could you describe the problem in more detail? How exactly is the patch failing to install?
