OK....one of the Big problems in W2A for all the classic WA/WWp players was the background....sometimes the map can be confused with the background.....so I think T17 have to consider adding the "null background" option to worms reloaded
I know that the color Black isnt the default transparent anymore and some of the default maps have black involved....but "null" can be another color, not neccessary black.
I've been playing with backgrounds in Worms since 2006 (Open Warfare) and never got confused. Also in W2A you can clearly see the outlines of the map, I've never had such a problem

Of course......if u use blur (W2A have blur on and you cant turn it off, i guess u will have that option for PC).....blur reduces the fps a lot! (for roping thats not good).....so a Null background will be very handy for ropers and for low-standart graphic cards....
Taking apart the Blur option and issues....yes, you can see the outlines in the default maps......but, what about custom made maps and imagefile based maps?? (if they include that in the game)

A null background is a good idea for those with machines that can't handle blur etc. I will look into it.
Mine can but I disabled it because it doesn't look nice

Thats wht i wanted to hear :P
I dont wanna turn blur off (like in many games) and reduce quality to play in the full resolution.....and i dont have money to change my video card right now -.-
Taking that apart, most of the WA players will be happy with that option....
