Hey there, I dont know wheter Im writing into the right place. Is there a chance to release a program which converts maps from replay? Or public its fileformat?

This seems to be a hot topic these days.
.lev files simply contain some random seeds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Random_seed) and integers that control how the files are generated. See here (http://worms2d.info/Monochrome_map_(.bit%2C_.lev)) for the file format, but it probably won't help you much.
Set a display resolution in the game to larger then the map and to teleport players in at the start, turn the background off and press Scroll Lock to take a picture you can paste into MS Paint etc.. You can even disable the water ripples/waves by editing the contents of the game disc and burning a new copy with the changes.

What? It lets you turn a Lev into a PNG or BMP or whatever image format you want.
lol yea a little inelegant solution :D anyway, in TUS there is a map editor which works with seeds, so somehow they could solve this - no wonder why an uploaded game has a downloadable map picture.
You can already do this from within the game's terrain editor, by the way. When you have a BIT or LEV map loaded up, you can get the game to convert it to PNG by right clicking the button that switches between the black & white edit mode and the preview mode with texture/objects applied to it and then simply pressing Save. The beauty of it is that the conversion to PNG works in both the edit and preview modes, so you can take the version that suits your needs better.
