There are 3 keys to making this game a critical success.
1 - Lots of weapons
2 - Good weapon balance
3 - Lots of customization
Until the W2:A DLC comes out, I recommend picking up Perfect Dark on XBLA. It has good physics (well, not many, but the character acceleration is awesome), lots of weapons (about 32, with secondary functions), good weapon balance (like the original WA, if you want to do something, there's a weapon for it), and the second best level of customization behind the original WA (control and teams are weaker than the original Perfect Dark ATM, but they're working on it)!
Y'know, maybe they should just replace Joanna Dark with a worm... ;)

I never thought anyone would find a way to tie Perfect Dark into a post about Worms.
They have to fix the physics in WR......for example in DanceDanceRevolution the arrows go up smoothly, that produced game success (?)....
Oh God! -.-
No, really....comparing Worms with Perfect Dark is like comparing a Jet pack with a Hamburguer.

lol i happen to be obsessed with perfect dark, think I'll go play it for N64 right now, eagerly awaiting WBI or Worms Reloaded. secondary functions would be cool, however would reduce the number of weapons (eg. the secondary function of a bazooka would be the homing missile) just as PD did to some of the Goldeneye weapons
(eg. the secondary function of a bazooka would be the homing missile)
But then you have balance issues: what if you want the player to only have 2 homing missiles, but infinite bazookas (standard scheme)?
You can't, without some sort of obfuscating ammo counter that is out of place in a Worms game.
I'm not sure about lots of weapons. Not more than in WWP, that's optimal amount. I agree with other points.

W:A/WWP weapons ARE "lots of weapons" :P. There's about 60 or more...

Yes, but I thought lot of weapons means more than in WA or WWP. I'm not sure what OP meant.

2 things.
1. I think that size was perfect for the game.
2. "DrMelon" did Melon get a PhD or MD while I was gone? I'm so confused....

you mean like the Battlezone ammo counter?

So, take in mind that WR will have no weapons (?) xD
WA/WWP have 160 weapons....WR 48-50...
Anyway, WA/WWP have lots of useless and unnecessary weapons (Ex: in WR aquasheep is useless)

By "lots of weapons", I mean "more than W2:A has right now, preferably close to WA PC's number".
And what Perfect Dark has in common with Worms is customization. The original WA had a ton of options, so does PD. Other versions of Worms have less, but it's still a notable feature in every version.
PC ver will have more customization (Schemmes, weapons, tweaking physics, etc) but its imposible to make it have close to 160 weapons when the Xbox ver have 48....
WR isnt a new game....its a "portgame++" (lol) of W2A from xbox....

160 weapons? How? It's around 60 IIRC.

Yellow: they have to add them
Red: Sad
Blue: not necessary
If the weapon count does get decimated like that, then it's gonna be a short game.
What did longbow ever do to anyone to deserve this? Or the flamethrower?
Troubling indeed.

They removed low gravity....I'm disappointed that they removed some classics but even if they want to change it up....low gravity. why?
In fact Worms is even an awesome game with only 15 weapons/tools like in Open Warfare/Space Oddity. I know it, I've played both. Those weapons are not necessary at all but they could add some strategy to the game of course.

You've forgotten T17 added some more weapons to the game (all new ones, not in WA/WWP)
