View Full Version : Save progress deleted???

Hello, I tried to start up Alien Breed Evolution today, and selected Single Player at the menu. I get the message:

"The storage device has been removed. Please re-insert the storage device or select another in order to save your progress"

so I press a to continue, select my storage device, and nothing happens, nothing loads, and if I click it again, I get the same message. The same problem occurs for Co-op Assault.

I recently recovered my gamertag on my friends console, then brought it back to mine. Could this be the cause of the problem?

Hi Shadowmoon,

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to stop you losing save data when recovering your Gamertag whilst roaming. Microsoft recommend that you do not recover your Gamertag to friend's consoles for fear of losing your save games - see this article (https://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/nxe/xboxlive/playxboxlive/accountroamingandrecovery/recoveryourgamertag.aspx) for more information.

If it is any consolation, the free play levels will still be unlocked - only your Story Mode and unearned achievement progress will be lost.

I'm stuck at the main menu. Basically, Single Player, and Co-op Assault won't work, if I click any of them, it comes up with the message, and I select my storage device. Nothing happens.

So I can't play Free Play mode, since its in Single Player.

Ok dude, you'll have to delete your save data if that is the case - from the dashboard go to the My Xbox tab and scroll along to the System Settings option. From there select Memory and then the device which the game is on - you should be able to find the game's save data and delete it (don't delete the actual game :)). Once you've done that you should be able to launch the game with no problem.
