View Full Version : I want to hear the intro theme!

If you start WSO there appears the intro movie and then you get to the screen with the message "Press A to continue". I think you know what I mean. Well, in this screen plays a pretty cool music, but you aren't able to hear the full version, only a part of it. Either the movie starts again after 10 seconds or so, or you push A and the music will stop as well.

Now I found a little trick to hear a bigger part of the music: Directly after the movie starts again, push the Home Button. If you go back to the game, the music will go on while the movie plays, but if the movie stops the music will play from the beginning.

Try it out, it sounds really cool ;)

I didn't found a way to hear the whole theme, though. Is it possible to "hack" the game so that the movie doesn't play and I can hear the full music or something like that? Does anyone know what to do? Thx in advance!

I'll have a word with the guys to see if we can get a copy of it. Definitely not promising anything, but you never know.

Glad you enjoyed it so much that you could find a workaround to hear more of it!

Its just that I'm a fan of good music, also in video games and movies. And I always loved the worms music and I still do, although Bjorn Lynne was replaced by Jay Waters.

I love the music in this game, especially the Mechanopolis Theme, and the Cavernia, and Earth themes are some of my favorites too.

Yeah they sound just epic, shame to all developers that don't care for their in-game music :( For example, I hate the "peep sounding"* music of Pokemon, and the rap songs in games as GTA are just annoying.

Isn't it funny, you may know Tetris, it's got pretty good music... but it's a game with completely no story :)

*You may tell me how you call this in english ;) Couldn't find a translation anywhere for "Dudelmusik"

lol just yesterday i got 'User Tracks' to work so i could play worms music in GTA SA :D

And yeeh-haaaw, THQ finally managed to delete the space oddity website as well as they deleted the OW2 one!

There is quite a strong possibility of me being able to rip this with my pimped-out Wii (no, I'm not a pirate, I have a lot of homebrew installed though, including something that allows me to rip individual files from discs; I've used it in the past to rip music from other games). Stay tuned, I'll have a go tomorrow.

I got the music off the disc, but I don't think i have permission to post it, and they are in different files (like Cavernia L and Cavernia R) i was able to play the .dsp files using a Winamp Plugin

Maybe you should better ask one of the T17 staff?
On YouTube youre able to hear the music of almost every Worms though, so why not? ;)

Funny you ask, the Mechanopolis theme is on Youtube all ready but not the other ones, also there is still the issue with the L and R tracks, maybe I can get Winamp to play 2 Tracks at the same time :confused:

I didnt even notice it (I've recognized the W2A soundtracks are on though)
Thats great! Mechanopolis is one of my favourites there, besides Cavernia and Earth ;)

Well if the W2A soundtrack is up on YT I mind as well put up the W:ASO music on YT, I'll use the L tracks since they seem to be more colorful that the R tracks:-/

Well I found out how to get the L R tracks combined, all I need to do now is find the Boxart on Google images, put the image and audio together in movie maker, then upload it... sometime over the march break

Well Im lucky I find these programs, Like I use Google so it helps having Skill with special search Functions. as for game play vids your wishes are as good as mine

Themes don't just get up and disappear although I think the wormsong actually dissipated in W:ASO, sure there is a small bit in the title track, but thats not enough!

Didn't mean that. I was talking about some tracks you uploaded just disappeared for some reason :-/

At least Space Oddity has a part of the wormsong included. In Worms 2: Armageddon there ain't nothing at all!

I just realized there are not many games that keep being faithful to their own themes lol

Most of the Nintendo ones do (Tetris, Mario, Zelda) but I used to play Crash Bandicoot series, when it passed to a new developer the theme was lost. Just an example, there are more games behaving similar or just don't even have a main theme.

It was cool Dr Awesome included it everywhere in-game, I felt surrounded by it (Remember the sheep bleating the wormsong in the farm theme of Worms United? lol)
