Worms Scheme Contest 2010 has started.

Contrary to what some people may think, this isn't a new league. This is a contest where people can send in a new scheme they created, and a jury - whose members are kept secret - will decide which scheme will have the title "Scheme of 2010". :)
Of course, even if a scheme doesn't win, it still can catch on on WormNET, so I suggest if you have a good idea, don't keep it to yourself, but share it instead. :)

The website can be found here: http://wsc.wmdb.org/ Be sure to read it, there isn't too much text there anyway. ;)
Registration will start on the 1st of January, right after midnight.

If you have questions, feel free to ask. :)

why is a jury kept secret?

So that people won't bug them with questions and problems. :P
They can bug me instead.

The jury's members will be announced when the final results are given.

Nice, maybe I`ll try to come up with a new scheme :D Anyway, it shouldn`t be that hard figuring out who might be in that jury :P

you should at least say how many members there are.

Well, there are between 6 and 8 people in the jury including myself. Between, coz 2 of them might not have time/interest to "play".

Also, the rules have been changed a bit, one person or group can now send up to 3 schemes. This is to ensure that people with more than one good ideas don't have to choose between them.

The registration period has been extended until 1st of May. :)

C'mon, send those schemes! :D

As of the change of the year, the results are available on the website.

Go to http://wsc.wmdb.org/ and check them out! We got quite a few great schemes, it was hard to evaluate them. :)

Info about the Jury will be available in a few days - as soon as I figure out what to write there, heh - and there will be links to download the submitted schemes and other files from the results page, so you can try them out! :)

Um... The Worms Scheme Contest is over now. What I posted about were the results.

I didn't post anything about it restarting it in 2011. I did plan to do so, but it turned out differently. It'll most likely be a biennial contest, meaning it might come along again in 2012.

EDIT: Corrected "biannual" to "biennial", kudos for Lei.

I think Balee means biennially (http://www.google.com.ph/search?hl=tl&client=firefox-a&hs=ZdS&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=define%3Abiennially&btnG=Hanapin&meta=).

No it isn't, not if you go by the more common usage.

You're right.
I just did some more research, and apparently those two adjectives have two quite different meanings.

While 'biennial' means 'every two years' or 'lasting two years', 'biannual' can additionally mean 'twice a year'.
