I reinstalled Windows XP as part of getting rid of malware, which is now totally taken care of, and the XP install wasn't part of a reformat, it was just a quick repair that I've done a few times in the past, because some OS files were damaged, but now I can't seem to host games in WA. I checked the typical guides, like at http://www.nanacide.com/wahelp/wnguide-nohost.php, but I don't see anything I've missed. I use ZoneAlarm as a firewall, I dunno if that's causing the problems, but I did what that guide said to do there anyway. And my IP hasn't changed. My router settings, with its opened WA ports, are never affected by an XP repair. Is there anything I'm missing?

Standard Windows firewall? Perhaps ZoneAlarm was affected by the repair? Also, it may be possible that if you use dynamic local addresses on your network, the router assigned you a different one.

But I checked ZoneAlarm's settings as well as www.whatismyip.com and everything looks to be the way it was before.:(

Looks like you're confusing external IP addresses and local IP addresses.

What can I do?

Follow the Hosting Guide (http://worms2d.info/Hosting_Guide), again, carefully.

I finally did it. O_O

http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm

In the unlikely case that someone reads this whom it can help, what my XP repair caused is the clearing of my static IP setup. I had to follow the steps in the above url to set it up again, and now I can host.

Okay, I can't host now that I've switched over from XP to Windows 7:o

I did aaaaaaaall the stuff I did to make it work just a few days ago, by starting at square 1 with the site you gave me, but, alas, it would seem there's some new challenge now that I have Windows 7.

Can I has more help?:<

Checklist:
1) Is your computer set to a static local IP (DHCP should be turned off)?
2) Is the port on your router forwarded to your correct local IP?
3) Is Windows Firewall (and/or any 3rd-party firewalls/antiviruses) allowing W:A to listen for connections on the configured port (default is 17011)?
4) Is "Force IP" in your W:A configuration turned off?

What does the canyouseeme.org test show?

Awww YAY!!
When I got to #3 on your list, I decided to shut down ZoneAlarm, which I *thought* I had perfectly set up for WA, and then Windows Firewall took over automatically, and when I went to host on WA, it asked if I wanted to allow WA, I said yes, and when I went back in-game, people were entering my room!XD So I'll just stop using ZoneAlarm and stick with Windows Firewall! Thanks!!=)
My only problems now are that the colors still get corrupted when I enter Wormnet, but that's small apples.=P
Thanks again!

Grr. It happened again. After a Win7 Upgrade/Repair install, I can't host, despite going through the usual motions. Everything that did it before has been done again, but to no avail this time. Any suggestions?

EDIT: I did it!! Wow, for some reason, changing my IP number from 192.168.2.3 to 192.168.2.7 did it o_O
False alarm. Sorry!~<3
