I need help sharing files between my iMac running MacOS X version 10.5.7 and a (brand new) Win 7 Home Premium PC. Mostly to transfer files from my iMac to the Win7 PC. Lots of files.
I've searched google but haven't found anything that helps me. :(

Can you not use a Vista or XP guide to get the basics for networking? Failing that get an 8Gb USB pen drive and do it that way.
Maybe you could host or upload the files over a web/network protocol somehow.
FTP?
Opera Unite?
ynHub (http://www.ynhub.org/) is a no-brainer Direct Connect server that will work over a network. You could also try Hamachi.
Sorry I've barely touched a mac, so I can only suggest alternative methods.

We're talking around 150 GB worth of stuff. Web based/usb drives would be too much of a hassle. I'm trying with an ethernet cable for simplicity and speed.
I can't seem to use the XP guides because I can't find the appropriate options in Win 7. I found one solution to connect directly but I can't even use that because the application it used is not available in the Home Premium version of Win 7 for whatever reason.

Buy (or borrow) an external hard drive?

Found a way. :D

The problem is that every solution I found before told me to open secpol.msc, which doesn't come with the home premium version, but there's a way to do it manually using regedit. Now I can network them and access any shared folders in my mac.
