Worms World Party on XP/Vista & Win7, YAY!

Don't mess around with those other fixes, why they use executables I do not know, if they are doing more than what I am doing then they are wasting their time :S

Before you start make sure as to remove and reinstall the game, and ensure you have run the sp1 patch.

VISTA and WIN7 ONLY: after installing the sp1 patch browse to the game install directory, and then right click wwp.exe and select properties, click the compatibility tab and check the checkbox under "Privlege Level" next to "Run this program as administrator", now click apply, and then okay.

1. run "wwp_fix_installer.bat". If you have any problems just see the manual install instructions
2. run the game using the new link on your desktop
3. have fun

1. copy "Worms World Party - Compatibility Fix.lnk" to your desktop.
2. copy "start_wwp.bat" to your worms INSTALL directory (usually C:\Team17\Worms World Party\)
3. run the game using the link you just copied
4. have fun

Your "fix" is exactly the same thing as this guy's here (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=36539). The only difference is that he compiled it into an executable (why?).

What you created terminates explorer.exe, which means that it messes up Windows Explorer. This usually leads to loss of data and always leads to many problems, which may appear later.

So you people use a better fix, a tested fix with no bugs (it is v1.4 at the time of speaking), which doesn't cause problems to your computer. Visit this link http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=38883 and download the attached file (either .rar or .zip format)

Wrong. It doesn't lead to a loss of data. Also it doesn't "mess up Windows Explorer", it closes it. I thought you would know that.

It's my personal experience with the ****** M$ Operating systems. Also look for it in Google. This application is vital for windows and should never close. And of course should never terminate that way.

It's not vital for Windows you know. You can operate Windows entirely without Explorer. It's called the command line.

That's true, but it isn't Linux. For an average user's computer it is vital. Windows has nothing to do Linux.

Did I say that Windows was Linux? Read my post again.
For an average user's computer, those batch files turn it back on again - so there's no point correcting this person. It doesn't turn it off permanently, there are no issues.
