WWP wont start at XP

I've installed the game and after that the update.
Launching the game.
screen gets black.. then after a few seconds it returns to the desktop.. :confused:
The game is a sold-out version.. I have WA too and it works quite ok beside some start up issues, also from sold-out..

but anyone knows how to fix WWP so I can I play at all?

Or should I buy it from team17 shop when it opens again? (read somewhere it was closed at the moment?)

I would install it again with the fix option. ;)

Go under computer then WWP cd and go in the folder installer and run Setup.exe .

I've done that now.. and i get a "an error has ocoured" with a black screen (spelling ><)

I did all what u said (except trashing the cd lol) cuz i got the same problem but nothing happens

I also tried Levo's win vista and win7 fix or sumthing like that but it still doesnt work

I remember around a year ago playing this game on the same computer with same graphics card and win xp etc and everything was fine as long as I ran it on compatibility mode on, but i had to reset the hard drive once

I just found the cd again today hidden between my clothes lol and tried to play again, it worked at first try but real slow, when i entered the Options screen the colors went psychedelic and the game froze, so I forced it to close

Then I tried it again, but the screen stayed black for a while, then it said "WWP.exe had detected a problem and has to close" (WWP.exe ha detectado un problema y debe cerrarse), tried all patchs i could find (official and unofficial) but no worms yet. I loved the game D:
