keyboards on a wire are usually more responsive. check here (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=33321) for keyboards without a key lock

Wireless keyboards suck for gaming in general, especially for a game like WA because it lacks fast reaction and does indeed lag sometimes.
That's just my experience of course, there *might* be wireless keyboards which are perfectly fine and not lagging.

I swap between 3 keyboards: I have one for editing (extra expensive for when I'm calm), one for playing W:A (not too cheap old-fashioned wireless keyboard that has cotton under certain keys for better performance) and one for GTA SA Multiplayer (extra cheap for when I go mad and need to punch something every 5 minutes).

Hehe!
Better use a wireless repeater instead of cotton to improve performance. :p

lololololoolooololo @t what? Having cotton under a key improves tapping regardless of what type of keyboard you're using.

Read the post above you.
Wireless repeater. Far, far better and more reliable.

Hey, I just found it funny that you have like 4 different keyboards for different things, that you go through the hassle of modding one of them to rope but you still rope with a wireless keyboard and that you most likely SUCK BAD.

I'd use only wireless devices... too bad the more expensive keyboards are wired because they elongate audio out/mic and USB ports.

That's not why they are wired. Not most of them, at least.

May be the only wireless thing you have.

Wireless devices have significantly more inherent lag than wired devices due to their information transfer method and material being much slower than a highly-conductive metal relaying electricity over the same distance.

significantly more

isn't significantly enough.

It is to skilled players who have reached the limits of their wireless hardware and require faster input response. You may not be one of those people.

Sure I'm not one of those people, because unlike them, I get my wireless input devices from a store.
