It would be nice to have the replays, but I don't know if we'd be able to play them back in the current version - I'm not sure if it supports playback of Deadcode's Tool Assist versions.

Of course you can! In fact, the Tool Assist function has been built into every update since 3.6.26.0. To unlock it, you just need to make a team called "I am gullible", and play 100 wormNET games in a row with it.

if you heat up a safety pin and burn a little hole on the lower left corner of the tm on the sold out software version, it will enable the cheat jsyk

Why would Deadcode put this "cheating" feature in the game? Will it affect network play?

He won't put it in, as it would make replays pretty pointless to "show off". That is one of the reasons, there are others.

In this thread people feel they need to add hints on their super obvious jokes.

Played frame by frame, not real-time and can rewind like a replay iirc to undo mistakes.

oh... well thats not very cool at all. the super sheep assist isnt like that is it? i know its got guide dots coming off of it

franpa

possibly uses a way point system for accurate control? you make way points with the mouse then fire the sheep?

i know part of it is there are lines coming off of it showing the ark of the turn, the ark that it would fall and i think a strait one coming off of the front. i do remember seeing one where the sheep when through a maze that was made up of small square holes in the terrain, and thinking there is no way one could steer through all that. the point of the replay i saw was that objects can go through walls, but im sure it was tool asisted. it didnt have the lines i was referring 2 tho

The tool-assisted versions have all network functionality disabled so they can't be used online, the replays are encrypted (and only Deadcode can decrypt them) so they can't be played in any normal version and/or passed off as being "real". Also, they are all tagged with the name of the person they were built for, so Deadcode can tell where the replays came from, and if someone leaks the exe he can easily tell who it was.

Here's a few of my replays that have been decrypted, and should work in public versions:

http://www.clansfx.co.uk/downloads/replays.zip

and here's a video i just exported of one being replayed in the tool-assisted version, so you can see what guides you get (for roping at least). You'll need H.264 and Matroska codecs to watch it, i can re-encode into another format if required:

That's really interesting, I don't think anyone's ever seen a video of the tool assisted version before (obviously other than those who got given it).

Wow, that's very interesting and cool.
It'd be interesting to see a video of a game being produced too - although, if you were going for perfection, TAS-style, the video might be very long...

For unaware people, you can use Media Player Classic 6.4.9.1 from here (http://www.free-codecs.com/Media_Player_Classic_download.htm) to watch it
