Sound is a bit... full and distorted

I just got W2A, liking it, but the one issue that I have come up so far, is sound quality. It sounds really distorted and too full, and I had to turn the sound down in the options just to get it to a level where it wasn't annoying to listen to.

Anyone else had that problem or is it just me.

I've noticed speech overlapping from the start of a turn and the "fire" speech and all sorts of random phrases building up into a deafening cacophony.

And sometimes there's a bit of grit in the sound effects too...

ive had this problem too, seem mostly to be the speech, bkgnd music seems fine, but i dont play tthe game very loud, either. i have definitely noticed that the speech seems blown out, maybe clipped....cant tell.

I recorded what I was hearing through my computer, well, the graphics show a lot

And this is all at default volume levels, not altered at all.
