People joining my hosts can see my real IP address...how to edit it so that they could see some message from me or something else than my real IP address? Please help me figure it out. Thank you.

You can set up a third-level domain pointing at your real IP address using websites like http://www.no-ip.com/ or http://freedns.afraid.org/ . Of course, that won't prevent people from finding out your IP address if they wanted to, which you can't hide unless you set up a reverse proxy for hosting.

hey thanks for quick answer...but what ive noticed that most ppl have something diffrent than their real IP address...i think i used to have something like ...aster.pl5235 bla bla bla ....but since i typed my real IP in configuration and forced it...it shows as it is.... I thought there is somewhere in win.ini or in wa folder a file where you edit something and you hide ips...i really think i used to have something diffrent showing there some time ago....
p.s. i just joined someone and it showed something like that instead of real ip "p54A42BFA.dip.t-dialin.net)." i would like to have something like that :/

W:A uses your IP's reverse DNS name (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_DNS_lookup) as determined by WormNET, but only if it's shorter than 29 characters.
29 characters
Why? Is that a limit of W:A itself, or is that just arbitrary to stop them being really long and overflowing the dialogue box?

Uncheck "Force IP" (http://worms2d.info/Hosting_Guide#Make_sure_that_the_Force_IP_checkbox _is_unchecked).

People joining my hosts can see my real IP address...
What are you afraid of? Do you think that people on WormNET are more dangerous than other places you visit on the Internet? If someone wants to scan a computer for opened ports of vulnerable or exploitable services, I'm sure he picks his target based on different criteria, unless everyone playing W:A keeps the firewall deactivated.
If you want your IP address to be secured on WormNET, I can help you (as I'm helping over 40 people to host and connect to WormNET). Here's what you have to do: http://forum.team17.co.uk/showpost.php?p=694139&postcount=14
Of course, I'll provide the proxy server and all the information you need to connect to it; Proxify W:A using Proxifier or FreeCap, stay connected to Hamachi and have the same W:A settings as here:
http://hostingwhore.game-host.org/example.png
...except the port number (17028)... I'll assign a different one to you (17054 or above).
Here is how the whole thing works:
When you connect to WormNET, the request will be made through VPN (Hamachi) using the proxy, the proxy will receive data and send it back to you through the same tunnel. Your IP address will never be revealed to t17 (just don't start doing things that could get the proxy server's host banned, like cursing, flooding) or to people who's games you join.
Proxification is needed when you want to keep your identity anonimous when connecting to a service/server. If you only want to keep you IP address hidden from people who join you, there's no need for proxification- you just need Hamachi running, but keeping WA.exe proxified doesn't do any harm. (or use WormNAT or HostingBuddy- who may log your IP address, but won't reveal it to the people who join your games).

Uncheck "Force IP" (http://worms2d.info/Hosting_Guide#Make_sure_that_the_Force_IP_checkbox _is_unchecked).
Guys I am really glad for your help. But I don't want to run wn though hamachi or install any other programs or search for proxy servers....I tried unchecking "Force IP" but it doesn't make any difference CS.
I just want my DNS reverse name again instead of my IP address. I am 100% sure Ive had this before I changed and forced my IP in wn-configuration.
Maybe unistalling + cleaning registry and again installing wa would help? I thought it is really easy to do but it seems not.
Most ppl at wn has the DNS reverse name!!! Really I just tried joining to 5 random hosts and everyone have no real IP showed there but me. I want it back :(

If it displayed the hostname, anyone could just look that up and find out your "real" IP address anyway. I don't see the big deal about displaying a hostname instead of IP. Even if it didn't display hostname or IP, someone could get your IP using wireshark or netstat.

Why do you think that you'll need to run W:A through Hamachi or install other programs if you uncheck "Force IP"? Why did you even check it in the first place?
If you have your weird reason to keep "Force IP" checked, you can always put in your reverse DNS name (you can look it up here (http://remote.12dt.com/)) instead of your IP in the network dialog. Be aware of the length limitation, though.
Try putting your IP address in here (http://www.webyield.net/cgi-bin/ipwhois.cgi?addr=) - Is that what you had before?
