I was looking through the weapon scheme options and I noticed that this was the description for the super banana bomb, and I thought I heard this quote before... And I remember it is from the movie K-Pax with Keven Spacey. When Prot is eating a banana he says exactly "Your produce alone has been worth the trip". W:A came out in 1999, right? But K-Pax was made in 2001, so did they get this line from worms or is it just a coincidence? Still... Thought it was an interesting fact if you didn't know :P

It sounds like too much of a coincidence to me, maybe one of our current developers has been sneaky with their film-buff iterations

The ability to edit superweapons was added in the Betas. I can't confirm who added that particular string, though - David might know, I've asked him by e-mail.

AFAIK, Deadcode indeed came up with most of the descriptions for the super weapons.

I based my German translations on his English ones wherever it fit and added some German puns and in-jokes where the English ones couldn't be simply translated.

IIRC, Deadcode even used one or two suggestions from me, but definitely not this K-Pax allusion, so it probably was from him.
I'd have to look up what I used for the bananas there.

Indeed, I wrote all the English super weapon descriptions, including the K-Pax allusion. All lameness is therefore my own responsibility! :D However I did use bonz's idea for the Indian Nuclear Test description. (Earlier beta versions had no Nuke Test description, because I couldn't think of one.)

Pre-beta W:A did not have any descriptions for super weapons, because they were not in the scheme options.
