help with worms 3d

i just got this game for my son,my pc meets all the system requirements,ive installed the game,but when i try too play it,,a mesage of worms 3d has encounterd a problem and needs too close,,is it the game thats faulty,i dont think its my pc as ive played worms on it before

1) Which operating system? (XP, Vista, etc)
2) Download the latest drivers for your graphics card from the manufacturer's website (nvidia.com or ati.com depending on who makes it)

Try installing patch v.1073 (http://www.worms3d.com/support.html?area=patc) and see if it helps.
