Hey guys. I'm running XP Home Edition SP3 with a AMD Athlon 64 Processor with a 2.20 GHz hard drive and 2GB RAM.

I am having trouble installing WA. First, the CD-ROM (Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-110D) appears to be having trouble running the disk as navigating the files lags terribly. Then when I finally can click the install file, this error appears:
D:\Install\Install.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

The same happens when I click setup:
D:\Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

I downloaded http://madewokherd.nfshost.com/worms/unwain.exe and tried to install it to Program Files (with the disk in), but I eventually received the following:

Can not read from file, error code 23
...
Exception: i5comp didn't work

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem seems to be either in your CD-ROM drive or the CD. The error messages indicate that your computer can't read parts of the CD.

Thanks. The CD looks like it experienced a vicious CD-ROM at some point. It has circular scratches around the outer edge. This is almost certainly the cause of the problem. It would be sad if I had to buy the game again, but I guess I'll have to if cleaning doesn't work.
