help!... worms 4 locking up

everytime i start to play worms 4 now the game randomly locks up, screen goes black, and i'm stuck listening to the audio still playing in the back ground, ctrl/alt/del doesnt work nor the windows key so i'm left with jerking the plug out of the wall,... everytime with alittle more force X( I just cant seem to figure it out, at first I thought the dvd might be scratched but it's clean as a whistle. I even tried one of the no/cd/dvd cracks and the samething happend, what the heck is goin on?

ok i found a way to run the game in a window and wouldnt you know it, it works great, switched back to fullscreen and it crashes. any ideas?

Probably either the video card or the drivers lack the display mode it tries to use in Full Screen mode?

Yeah, try updating your graphics card drivers. It might also help if you told us what version of Windows you're running and what model your card is.

got it, just had to down grade my driver, seems ati's new catalyst doesnt work to well with older cards.

now if i can just figure out why the game locks up when i try to go online.

probably a firewall prompting you behind the game.

Yes, that is likely. Try adding Worms 4: Mayhem to the list of allowed programs/exceptions/whatever your firewall calls it manually.
