Normally the game works in WinME, but after installing patch and update it doesn't. Why?

EDIT:
I downloaded portable W:A 3.0.5 (or something) and when I'm connected to WormNET then game crashes.

Please refrain from using pirated versions of the game. And I'd especially like to request that you refrain from asking me about problems with pirated versions of the game (both on the forum and in PM), you're risking getting permanently banned.
