Been a long time fan of worms fan for the computer. Just got the new release for the PS3 and there are a couple of things i am disappointed with. I'll provide some suggestions here and hopefully the developers will pick it up and release an update:
--------------------------------
Bigger Maps
More players per team
Ninja rope dynamics need to be fixed (also allow for consecutive mid air jumps)
Add some good LFE for the explosions (i gotta nice sound system i wanna hear :) )
Don't shake the screen so much under explosions (makes it hard to follow)
More weapons... at least critical stuff like parachute
Add back napalm (nap strike, oil/object explosions)
Allow more control over the levels (E.g water level, sudden death time, etc)
Super sheep... increase turning radius :) it's a little delayed too
Gernades... allow hard/soft bounce config
Add more levels of zoom... zoom in is too close/zoom out is too far
Add more graves
Add more challenges n' such that unlock more weapons/features
Allow user to go back/forward while regenerating map layout(always hated that)
Add more than one song for menu music
Allow use of two controllers for local multiplayer (it may already do this)
When health is low after an attack, show worm panting BEFORE displaying health reduction (makes the wait more exciting)
Swap team names top/bottom based on total health (it may already do this)
--------------------------------
anyways i'll add more if i think of any. others feel free to add your suggestions as well. thanks!

I wrote this up yesterday, but couldn't access these forums:
This game crashes the PS3 sometimes. What is this, Windows 95?
The camera is completely broken. The camera should automatically follow the active worm, cursors for targeted weapons, and moving projectiles, and be easily overridden if the player wishes to do so. The camera in this game fails on both of these counts; it seems to move at random, and if I use the analog stick to move it elsewhere, no sooner do I let the stick go than the camera shifts back to the same godawful place it was before. I end up wasting valuable turn time just to have a basic idea of where I am and where I'm going!
The soundbanks kind of suck. There seem in particular to be a lot of space- and sci-fi-themed soundbanks. I'm going to go out on a limb here (since I don't have a Wii) and guess that these were simply ripped directly from A Space Oddity. But since this isn't a Space-themed Worms game, I would say that if you're going to cannibalize older games, why not focus more on Armageddon and World Party? Seriously, Mr. Spock, the Borg, Martians, HAL, Yoda and a ton of other such things are here, but there's no Kamikaze?
Text entry screens ought to show what buttons do what, especially since both square AND circle seem to exit out, and the buttons are not intuitive or anything.
No parachute OR bungee?!! Heck, there's not even a lousy drill! What the hell were T17 thinking?!!! Were they even thinking?!!!! C'mon, the baseball bat is FAR less useful than a way to get down from high places without wasting ropes.
How about a new automatically generated level after each round? I always forget to manually regenerate the level. There could at least be an option to do it automatically (along with maybe button config options and other such stuff).
This game does have rather surprising AI and amazing graphics, but the gameplay just doesn't hold up as of yet. If this stuff can be fixed via a patch, I'll be pretty happy. The roping is actually better than I expected based on what I've heard about the PSP games.

I noticed the PSP version has the kamikaze soundbank and some others on the UMD that can't be used in game. Were they disabled/removed to make the game more politically correct?
This will repeat many things already said, but I'll try to put them in more detail.
Rope Issues:
1)The flinging of a worm when you let go of the rope because you let go at a point where the rope was going to swing in the opposite direction sharply.
2)The inconsistent flinging of weapons after dropping them even if the worm is practically stationary while on the rope.
Camera:
The lock will sometimes fade off or follow slower than it should. This applies mainly to jetpacking, roping, and most weapons.
Voice Chat:
This seems like it was done on purpose, actually. 2 people can talk at a time, and it's random who you can communicate with. There is no way of knowing who you are initially talking with, and no means of switching to another player. It takes the ENTIRE POINT out of voice chat, which is essential for replay value in this game.
Freezing:
Only happens right after choosing a stage. Details are animation freezes, waiting for other players dialogue is up, and there are 2 sound effects (a chime and a zoom effect noise) that pretty much tell you "congratulations, you have to reset."
Servers:
1)Sometimes locked into the "Connecting..." screen after choosing a game from the host selection menu.
2)"Unable to connect to server" is a message I see all too often when trying to connect to people less than a 30 min drive from me that have excellent internet (I even direct wire my ps3), let alone all the other games I try to enter. This is a problem only associated with this game as far as my ps3 library goes.
I could also add all the stuff this game is missing, but until the bugs are fixed, it's meaningless to ask for add-ons.

-i would like to be able giving the teams more life
-more weapons pigeons, old witch (maybe we can unlock some in the challenge mode?)
-map creator would also be very nice
actually everything that armageddon had
it ruled
but the psn version is good enough
Just to keep you all informed, we're taking all the reported issues and suggestions on board and are currently working on a patch to address some of them. We hope to have the patch available to download as soon as possible!

From my point of view... perhaps not being such a hard core worms fan but i relle dont care too much about the game physics etc stuff yet
I just want to be able to play the game i have paid for....with my friends and for it not to crash my playstation!!!
surely this type of thing should be fixed by release????
I will look forward to a patch

I'm just wondering why this game got released in such a state...
Everyone on these forums is saying the exact same things as me, it's quite freshing to read.
Fix the camera, rediculous that this wasn't picked up in play testing.
Fix the voice chat, if I have the broadband capacity for it why the hell can't I chose who I'm talking with?
Fix the stupid inconsistencies and clusterbomb/banana bomb and other weapons that seem to have been nerfed for no particular reason
Fix the lockup of the entire PS3 with connecting to multiplayer servers
Fix the weird physics issues, worms flying the wrong way when hit, weapons dropped off the rope when it is barely moving fly sideways etc...
Realising this game only cost 8 quid I know it's not going to be massive, but some extra configurable options (giving worms more health) and weapons would be very welcome.
I'm not entirely sure what the newest patch has done, it seems to have fixed a couple of issues in local player game but hasn't for the online side of things. Considering it's the same damn game just with netcode added im a little confused.
This game could be great there are just a few things dragging it down.

I'm inclined to blame the voicechat issues on the PS3 firmware and PSN itself, as it's never been a great system for voicechat.

That's true. Often I find speech facilities on the PS3 to be tempramental at best.
Often I'll find that voice cuts out completely when I'm playing some of my other games, like Motorstorm (Pacific Rift) or even if I'm just talking with a friend while flicking through stuff on the XMB.
