April Fools Joke!
(Otherwise the AI would have called itself Skynet and killed all humans by now.)

I dont think anyone here plays Quake Live, but there April Fools effort is an 'update' promising a change to World of Warcraft style play, with a pic of characters riding giant orbb models :p

Oh gawd that CADIE-made site brings both my browser and my eyes to a screeching halt.
Homestar Runner has a bonus intro Sbemail. Its wiki has giant banner ads of fictional HR-universe products. Nintendo UK have a "through the hoops" Mario Kart Wii "tournament". Animal Crossing City has a huge section just for it. Microsoft Games has "Alpine Legend". The Pokem wiki (Bulbapedia) has an unimaginative "Swinub found in real life" article. And Metal Gear Solid, well... trust me, go google that one!
Or even better, YouTube it!
The Spore website has announced a new Spore ASCII single player RPG adventure coming out in March 2011. Also, The World of Warcraft website has announced a new feature for the game called "P1mp my Mount".
Both of the above are obviously April Fools Jokes.
I love this time of year.

Even better: they've got a free trial too! Even better even better: it uses actual Spore-made creations as enemies, including stats!
The Kingdom of Loathing was notorious for having it's in-game holidays be active on the wrong days, so yesterday there was an update saying they'd finally standardized the code and it shouldn't happen again.
Today, EVERY holiday is activated. It's horrendously overpowered and is the most fun day I think I've ever had in the game. Awesome.
It's certainly better than last year, where every picture was replaced with a bowl of salad, and words were randomly replaced with the word salad.

The small-print disclaimer at the bottom of that is fun.

I'm sorry people, you can all stop trying, Blizzard won the day.
I mean, THIS. (http://www.starcraft2.com/features/terran/terratron.xml) :cool::cool::cool::cool:
As much as I love giant robots and such, it still doesn't nearly compare to Konami's:

After a certain point that stops being a hoax and starts becoming just something silly that they actually did.

I think it's safetly below the line when the 'trial' only involves attacking or hugging, and the sole feature other than creatures is the ground reading "April Fools".
The last part may have been overkill.

Yeah that was great. I still love the giant robot more tho.
Also, Volition has doomed themselves to include that weapon in the game now. :p
