We have games and music, now we have TV!
Dont describe the TV/monitor you are using to watch TV, its obvious and unfunny.
This thread is a blatant excuse for me to discuss/spoil the new Lost season :p
Also I havent made a thread in so long I couldnt find the button :o
Scrubs, Simpsons, Two and a Half Men.
Although, I recently tend to watch the German edition of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me out of Here!"... :p

Hmm well I try to catch interesting stuff on Discovery Channel like Mythbusters or that show where some guy teaches survival techniques on extreme conditions. Pretty neat to learn how to kill a camel and obtain water from it's insides. :P
Have you tried TVCatchup.com (http://www.tvcatchup.com)? You can watch live freeview, basically. TV guide and everything, couple of ads but nothing too invasive, not much lag... it's worth a look.
You might be presented with a message saying your ISP doesn't support the service, but it does. You just need to get someone who's ISP is listed with them to register you an account (or share one with someone else). I can't do it because my ISP isn't listed, and I'm using someone elses account so I can't share it.

If that doesn't work there's always alluc.org (http://s14.alluc.org/)
Celebrity "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?". Nyum.

I wonder if TVCatchup works from the US. I can't register from here, but if someone could register for me...
...Hmm.
...if someone could register for me...
...you could watch Deal or No Deal and Eastenders.

See, I have a problem here, which is that if people are going to be discussing episodes of Lost that I haven't seen then I don't see how I can safely moderate this thread. I hope thomasp is up to date on it.

I just don't watch Lost, so there's no problem there :p Haven't watched it since it went from channel 4 to sky.

Awesome. This thread is your job.
Also, Dexter (S2 is on ITV at the moment but start with S1) is an amazing show for the four of you old enough to buy the DVDs.

Well, yes. But even still, it'd be nice to have access to some British telly without having to pay $900 for a sodding receiver box that requires an internet connection and won't always work.
Generally speaking, I don't watch TV, aside from the odd few moments. QI is my favourite show at the moment.

Heroes is much better. Watch that instead. Not as well as. Instead. All of it. Now.

Heroes? Lost?
Both of those series started with a good idea and it was well executed, but know... they just don't know what else to do to keep the show alive...
I watched some parts of the new season of heroes, and all I saw, was a extremely overpower dude that can do whatever he wants
Where's the fun in that?

The fun is in seeing how he is defeated despite being all-powerful. I'm not saying Heroes is perfect but it's a lot better than Lost, in my opinion.
Just been watching David Dickenson's Real Deal. Hmmn, not quite the same as Bargain hunt when he was in it.

I do not even know you, but I have heard your name mentioned so I delight in the irony of being the first to say something, no doubt incredibly amusing and witty.
...
Nope. Turns out I got nothin'. Damn. :(
As for myself, I do not watch a whole lot of television. I just watched the finale of Survivor Gabon today which was awesome though (Probably ended ages ago elsewhere). I care not what people say, I love Survivor (As does my whole family).
I've just noticed that the CBBC theme tune sounds remarkably like that song from the Worms 3D frontend (Shake Your Coconuts or something).
Just so we're all on the same page, here:
1.) I wasn't actually watching CBBC, it was just on while I tidied the lounge.
2.) I don't actually play Worms 3D because... well that's for another thread.

Where's the fun in that?even that isn't that bad, to me. what bugs me about the new season is how they're randomly tying in every relationship with every other relationship. ZOMG Claire's mom was totally nearby during the train wreck thing!.....seriously, that's just stupid. and there are SO many more that are much more nonsensical (Sylar and Elle, anyone?). it got to the point that I just wanted to bash my head in every time they introduced another tie-in. I missed a couple weeks and then just found I couldn't care enough to go back and watch them.
Just been watching David Dickenson's Real Deal. Hmmn, not quite the same as Bargain hunt when he was in it.holy jeebus. what made you decide to check back in?! it's been...what? 3 years?
I'd watch Heroes except that there's no channel here that shows it. Plus, I'd like to see it from the start.
Hi Saff, and bye Saff. Methinks you won't be staying long. If at all.
Download it then buy the DVDs when they're out.
You know what torrents are, yes? Go go go go go.
Heroes... Amazing first season and then a second season that feels like they make up the episodes as they go.
Can't be arsed with 3rd because the novelty of american shows is slowly running out for some reason (I used to love House, Prison Break, 24, yadda yadda, don't watch any now)
Yeah, the 2nd series wasn't as good. I wanted to like and in a lot of ways I did but it certainly lacked the impact the 1st series had. I think the 3rd series is going well - better than the 2nd - and I'm looking forward to it starting again in Feburary.
Having said all of that, I really rather enjoy the new Knight Rider series. Use that to decide how seriously you're going to take my opinion.

I'm stuck on Open Warfare 2 on the DS. :( Making my thread there right now.

I really liked the first season of Heroes, but I too lost interest during the second season, then I missed a few episodes and couldn't be bothered to get up to date again.
Also because I started watching House and it's just so much more fun.
I also watch Scrubs every now and then when I catch it on tv.
Also I regularly follow Naruto and Bleach. The manga that is, but I watch it in video form on youtube because it's easier than having to search the web for scans. :P

Well, not right now obviously, but I just watched Attenbrough's documentary about Darwin. Decent enough, although "yes Sir David, I know all this already" did creep in a bit.

I saw bits of that as my parents were watching it. I felt the same about it and was unsurprised by that.

I appreciate the idea though. It's "Richard Dawkins is all very well but he's as confrontational as hell, so let's get The Nicest Man On Television(TM) to front an evolution programme for a change".
It may just be me but Dawkins also looks rather psychotic in this image (http://clicheguevara.files.wordpress.com/2007/03/dawkins1.jpg), like he's thinking "I'm going to kill you and steal your DNA".

it's epic. :) Good guy unessarsarily rolls out of the back of a van, fires one shot, and the enemy car explodes in a burst of flames.
I even wrote a parody I filmed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlyE_WxJhwk

Dead Set: Quite good actually
Also just finished first series of Heroes. Great story, (at times) shoddy dialogue
