while playing hysteria, I decided to do a fly drill by entering jetpack, quickly pressing f7 twice to get drill and holding the up and right arrow keys to drill the yellow worm 'haggard' in the head.
The funny thing is, even though I landed perfectly on his head, i simply bounced off and the worm took no damage. In the replay this happens at around 4:20 min. performed by 'The Fry Smell'
Took me completely by surprise.

I'll vouch for that! LG was the one thing "missing" from the original Hysteria scheme

Nooo, do not put in Low Gravity! That makes it harder to Jetpack! :p

Oh yeah, the Jetpack comes before Low Gravity, thought it was the other way around. Never mind then. :p
The original Hysteria only had one weapon in each F slot.
F6 has been omitted, as all the airstrikes are too powerful without the ability to customize the power setting. We'll have to wait for Fiddler scheme support.
So, please go away with your low gravity or drills.
If you add more than one weapon to an F slot for whatever reason, you could as well play standard schemes or even Full Wormage with 1 second turn time. :p
Orbik would be pleased to tell you that Napalm (At 253 power setting, IIRC) is far from "too powerful", but I personally still have my disputes about it
LG, on the other hand, is nothing but useful, interesting and much more fun when added to the scheme! - Don't get me writing a list of reasons :P

Yes in my hysteria scheme I have (one) napalm at 253 power for my f-6. It basically drops 4 tiny flames and is very funny to watch it nudge a worm, dealing 1 damage.
Also for added fun i put a girder pack with max power in the scheme to see how fast people can place the girders. It is possible to set all 5 girders at different angles by rapidly clicking and pressing an arrow key at different areas. And a few times they have deterred teleabuse by blocking the enemy's path.
Those are just my preferences because normal hysteria eventually became bland to me.

There's a time and place for opinion. This is not it. :eek:
You know many people have customized the original Hysteria scheme by adding more weapons to F slots (Homing Missiles, Select Worms, Clusters, Sheep, Moles...), calling it Extended or Advanced Hysteria. While some people may find these variations excessive, it's a new portion of fun for those who feels the original Hysteria is bland.
As for Low Gravity, I believe it should be officialy included in the scheme. As GreeN said, it nicely extends the scheme with new possibilities, yet the original concept of 1 weapon per F slot still remains. :)
Allow me to go on and elaborate my point of view slightly...
The plans were on display in the #worms IRC channel for many months. The proverbial time was anywhere between the point of the scheme's creation in early 2007 to a point sometime during summer when the final adjustments were accepted [more randomly placed mines, Low Gravity]. The place was either the #worms IRC channel or a number of WormNet games in which the scheme was being play tested and introduced to the community by its creators and other early players, who I believe were for the most part very open to discussions about all of this.
The main problem with scheme variations isn't that they aren't very kind to those who invested effort in balancing the gameplay [true as it may be] or that they exist at all. A much more pressing issue is that when they're done solo like in the case of Hysteria, slightly differently by many people attempting to popularise their own variation, someone who has arguments against the changes doesn't have anyone to present all the arguments to at the same time, in one place. Even if he manages to debunk 5 changes and convince their instigators to stop hosting games with them, the snowball doesn't stop rolling. Then there's another 5 variations whose creators simply refuse to listen to the arguments and instead get defensive, thinking they're being ordered around.
Hysteria is a concept as well as a scheme, that's true enough, but it's just so very easy to contact people who have played around with the idea of including almost every weapon in it and actually tested many of the possibilities out. Yet nobody seems to bother with this and that's what's annoying.

The "known bug" involved a stationary worm standing on top of another stationary worm while drilling. This was fixed in v3.6.28.0. However, a drilling worm with sideways momentum may only graze another worm, and the existing fix is absolutely ineffective against this situation.
Your worm's drill was in contact for only 2 frames. The drill logic has a 5/16 chance of hitting something on any given frame — which gave it a large chance (about 47%) of not hitting anything during those 2 frames; that's what happened.

Ehrm, no, because the jetpack is already in the utility slot. And it was there fisrt.
Yes, I am very conservative and oldschool on this, staying true to the original 1-weapon-per-slot idea.
(With the F6 slot being "on hold" at the moment.)
