I recommend this game to anyone on this forum that hasn't tried it already. It was one of my favorite games, it was really short but all of it was awesome. http://2dboy.com/games.php
If you've played and enjoyed puzzle games like armadillo run you will love this game. Anyway there is not a lot to describe, but there is a embedded youtube video of the game on the page I linked.
- There's like 40 something levels, I think. It can be beaten in 1-3 hours if you're good at puzzle games and good with your mouse. It takes longer if you go back and beat them all again to get an OCD rating on every level. It's not a long game but It's a great game for all it lasts.
I say this after having played for somewhere near 14 hours and having OCD'd all but the last 2 levels. The game is just phenomenal.

Sick level. I like the flower, i didn't use it for anything but nonetheless it's cool.

Edit: this game is very under played for it's awesomeness. So little people I've spoken to have even heard of it.

That would be because the vast majority of people don't have 500$ to spend on a gaming console (so they get a xbox360 or wii)

As far as I know, World of goo is available for Wii and PC only...

I assume you have absolutely no idea what this game is..... which was part of my point.

Completed this, possibly one of the best games I ever played. Pity it got pirated so much though - apparently 90% of people pirated it!

true but it's no exception. Most games probably have piracy rates that high. So sad that they aren't working on a sequel. Maybe they will eventually...I can't OCD the last two, it's driving me nuts...grrrrrrrr

Probably would've helped if they had put it on Steam.

They did, i believe. You have to activate your copy on steam to patch it. But 90% isn't bad, it just showes how little difference DRM makes.

I just did a search on some torrent search engine to check it out (the top of each):
Fallout 3 (with drm) has about 6000 seeds and about 11600 leechers
World of Goo has 1400 seeds and 28 leechers
assuming all leechers complete the download:
a) Fallout 3 pirated copies on this torrent: 17600
b) World of Goo pirated copies on this torrent: 1428

Now more people play fallout 3 but it probably does have a higher piracy rate on the pc.

love the game. stuck on it, though. some level where the whole thing is balancing on a tiny rod and where the pipe is way up high on one side...

Add some more, more sturdy goo, so you get a little closer before trying the balancing act; once it's near the pipe, it'll be sucked up and you can remove the rest of the bits.

But you can use that to your advantage.

Use the natural springiness of goo to get stability through wobbling.

Yet Steam decided to not make it available on "my region" for some reason.

The other day they released a patch for the boxed copy of the game. All copies are the same anyway so you can update it their. Thus removing the need for pirates to activate the game.
