Hi.

I brought a 2-game pack from a game shop called "Game". The pack has Worms 2 and Worms Armageddon in.

- I installed Worms 2, and it plays fine.
- I installed Worms Armageddon, and it comes up with this error:

http://i33.tinypic.com/2u45wro.jpg

Requirements:

- Windows 98/ME/XP = Yes
- DirectX 6 = Yes
- 32MB RAM = Yes
- 2MB Graphics = Not Sure
- 100MB Hard Disk = Yes
- LAN/Modem Network = Yes
- Mouse/Keyboard Inputs = Yes
- 100MHz CPU = I have 933MHz mobile CPU like many people

I'm not sure about anything else which is needed.

Thanks :)

Try installing the latest beta:

http://worms.thecybershadow.net/files/WA_update-3.6.29.0_Beta_Installer.exe

Thanks for that.

Now the game loads until the Team17 logo appears, and then it shows this message:

"Worms Armageddon has encountered an error.
Detailed information about the error can be found in the ERRORLOG.TXT file."

Any ideas why? Thanks.

And i forgot to mention that i haven't restarted my laptop after installing the game and DirectX6.

:)

You might want to try and running W:A without the intro. Right click on your shortcut and point it at the following:

"C:\Team17\Worms Armageddon\WA.exe" /nointro

If that doesn't solve your problem, compress the ERRORLOG.TXT and CRASH.DMP files and attach them here. It will give the developers more insight on where your problem comes from.

This has been sorted. But now, whenever i want to edit a map (like with Worms 2), WA closes and the same error message appears. I asked someone at WormNET and they said it was a bot. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Wfus :)

Just a reminder of my error log above :P

That's a new one.

Could you please also compress and post the file CRASH.DMP from your W:A folder?

How would i do that? .TXT ? It appears as squares and funny characters that only the game understands (i think) :D

Don't open it. Just compress it with a program like 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/), and upload it here.

This crash is from a minimization crash (see this entry (http://worms2d.info/Troubleshooting_FAQ#WA_crashes_when_I_minimise_and _then_try_to_maximise) from the Troubleshooting FAQ), and I believe this one has already been fixed after the release of .29.0. Please recreate the crash regarding animated graves, and paste the CRASH.DMP file for that crash.

I want the one for editing maps, not animated graves, LOL!

Do you want me to re create that (the crash of editing maps?)

Sorry, misread. Please do.

That's ok mate :)

Here is the updated .zip file.

Name: WA Zip2.zip
Size: 97.5 KB
Download: 31955

And by the way, what should i do with these files, because the max size for uploading a .zip is 100 KB and this one is at 97.5 KB. Should i delete what's in the log?

Thanks, Wfus :)

use something like rapidshare or mediafire to share the file online if it is too big.

Alternatively, only pack the Crash.dmp and Errorlog.txt in one Zip file, and the .log file in another.

Ok thanks. I will wait for a reply from CyberShadow :)

Does the folder Graphics\MapedMisc\SmallWater under your W:A folder have 12 bitmap files numbered blue00.bmp through blue11.bmp?

wfus

My Graphics folder doesn't contain a SmallWater folder.

Please run the command
cmd /C dir /S W:\ > C:\filelist.txt
substituting W with the drive letter of the drive you have the W:A CD in. Then, compress and upload the file filelist.txt from your C:\ drive.

Also, please post the contents of W:\Data\Resource\version.txt, if such a file is present on your CD.

Do i enter exactly what you have put in the code section, but replace thr "W" with the letter of my drive which has WA in?

Thanks :)

franpa

yes.

After that has completed, look on your C:\ drive for a filelist.txt file, attach it to a forum post :) also do this for the other TXT file cybershadow requested.
