I have the exact same problem the Vista users are experiencing, but I have Windows Royale, which is based off of XP. Any suggestions? The colors are all wacky and inverted.
Try stopping all of your Instant Messaging, Antivirus and Firewall programs. If that works, stop them one by one until you find which one causes it. Then, look in the options for that program and try to find an "always on top" option or "steal focus" or something similar. Make sure it is disabled.
Try an official windows theme instead of that royale one?

It is official, google it.
And I don't want to disable my Firewall and Antivirus so that I can get hacked and get viruses. :( Any other suggestions?
Well, try disabling the Royal effects (if they exist, I'm just guessing here). Try disconnecting from the internet if you don't want viruses and haxxoring (though it is very unlikely even if you are connected to the internet).

I dunno about the Ryal effects, but I play WWP online, so I can't cut off internet, and I play alot of games and alot of open ports so I'm more suseptable to hackers and viruses, I'd rather not take the risk.
Default?

Hey i had that same problem, what i had to do was turn off windows live messenger (and all other IM clients such as yahoo, pidgin, AIM and whatever else is out there). It fixed it for me, but then i have normal XP, not whatever "Royale" is. Hope it helps.

I had the same problem. Try closing ALL programs. Disable your network connection, then your firewall.
Windows Royale is a hacked version of XP, anyways, disable the Windows Indexing service.
