WormNet server unavailable

I am trying to connect to worm net and it comes up with the message "server unavailable"

I have WA installed on my laptop and tested using this and it connect fine so i am sure its specific to my PC, i have tried forwarding port 17011 and specifically forwarding to the pc but it had no effect on either PC

i am running the latest patch - they are both running the same patch and the same teams

Is there any log file which would tell my why it won't connect or has anyone seen this message and fixed it before

You also need to open ports 80 and 6667.

check your firewalls, allow the game access to the internet, and acccess to IRC.

there are no limitations on ports going out as i have a firewall at network perimeter the dynamically opens

turns out it was IRC that was messing it up, Mcafee 8.5i has a block on IRC, turned that off and it now works
