Right you are, anyway, that's the way it manifests. It is flooding the lobby.
But then again, I'm sure someone has records of games hosted on Wormnet, right? They should also have access to the guy's IP.
Though, if he doesn't have a static IP, banning one doesn't help too much.

they can do a WhoIs though, which should provide enough info to have him blocked (iirc) or for team17 to contact the guys ISP in regards to there behavior.

Hosting games goes through an ASP page and the lobby goes through IRC. If the guy is smart he doesn't connect to IRC at all but straight to the ASP. So no, you can't 'just WhoIS' him.

The ASP script does nothing unless you are also connected to IRC.

Hosting games does not go through IRC. It is an HTTP request. Let's just hope the spammer doesn't learn how to automatically delete all games.
