View Full Version : Wormkit on Wine...
We have even more reason to want WormKit on Wine now, that is wkRubberWorm.
So does anyone have any way of getting WormKit working on Wine?
what doesn't work exactly?
I might consider to make a wine version of rubberworm, maybe a standalone wa.exe (like wapx.exe).

Then you wouldn't be able to distribute it.
I heard PX is abandoning its "patched WA.exe" mode of distribution as well.
By the way, to make WormKit work on wine, it's enough to get HookLib.dll loaded into WA.exe on start-up - if someone writes an IAT patcher to add a reference to HookLib.dll, that might suffice.

Sorry, but what is this PX thing?
Thanks.

I tried to do that but hit an obstacle - an IAT entry needs a reference to a function, and HookLib.dll exports none. I could add an export, but I think there are simpler solutions (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?p=668900#post668900).
well, i fiddled abit with the wine explorer. the common mistake was that wormkit said dlls, are missing so i overcame this exception.
wormkit wrote me then what to do next, copiing wormkit plugins/dlls. that is a normal behavior since i had no dlls inside the wa folder.
but then nothing else happened. it just done nothing. i guess if someone fixes the first problem he will run into another more difficult one.
